Very disappointed with the service I received today. I’ve been here several times in the past and always liked my food. Not sure what happened today, but I had asked for two eggs on my sandwich because i remembered from my last visit that the eggs were scarce on my sandwich. As you can see from the photo I was given one egg even though I ASKED and was CHARGED for two. There was also a piece of plastic bag inside my sandwich?? The containers looked like they were sitting on the floor. My home fries were dried up scraps with two large potatoes that were cut in half (also dry as ever) one looked like somebody bit it. It almost felt like they took leftovers from somebody’s plate, saved them and then served them to me. I’ve never been so disgusted with food in my life. I never leave food reviews, and I’m never a Karen when people make mistakes because I’ve worked in the food service industry myself for years, but this one got to me. It wasn’t one mistake, or two.. everything I asked for was ignored and done however they felt like doing it. I was polite on the phone when placing the order as was the woman on the other side, so I’m not sure where the mishap occurred. I was asked if I wanted salt, ketchup, utensils, or butter and syrup for my children’s pancakes. I said yes to the utensils and butter and syrup. I wasn’t given those either. Very disappointed with the way everything turned out today. Even when checking out I asked for four quarters so my kids could get a gum ball from their gum ball machines and the woman gave me two quarters and five dimes. I wasn’t even going to argue, I could see from where I stood that they had enough quarters but to me it wasn’t worth bickering over. Definitely won’t be coming back again.. I just don’t get it. I’ve always loved this place, never had any issues with anybody and I’m polite and easygoing myself. Seems like somebody maybe had a bad day and took it out on me and that’s...
Read moreI have lived in the area most of my life, and Terry's has been here since the beginning of time I stopped on occasion for breakfast it wasn't a regular place id patronize however one winter about 7 or 8 years ago my son and I were on our way home in a snow storm and the roads got too bad to drive I could barely see through the snow and we were maybe 7 minutes from home still it was difficult to drive and we saw the light on at Terry's Diner although they were typically closed around this time of night we decided to stop and thank goodness we saw ppl inside so we asked if we could come in for a bit and they welcomed us and even were up and running serving all the customers who had stopped to get off of the roads there were a hand full of tables there being waited on and some ppl just having a coffee waiting for the plows to come through, and let me say this not only were they so kind to so many by staying open they were polite and personable as they could be!! I was floored at the hospitality and the kindness my son absolutely loved the shrimp dinner he wanted to have it every week I'm not sure they serve it any more but their food is still very good and they make the best soda bread and vegetable soup I've ever had! And now every time we don't cook or I'm at work and hungry I order from Terry's, when I pick up my order my name is on my bag and they greet me by name and always say enjoy and goodnight not just the cashier checking me out but the staff around the front counter as well. I absolutely adore the atmosphere and the pleasant vibe I get when I'm here or just picking up take out. Keep up the good work we are blessed as a community to have a business like this that would shelter us from the storm even if we don't spend a penny and their...
Read moreArrived about 7 pm for the first time with my family and myself. I wanted something different for a change. Didn't know what to expect. When we entered, the host, an elderly lady, asked us how many there were, answered 4 total, and then told us where to sit as she was in the middle of cashing someone out. After we sat, she came over with 4 adult menus and asked me if I needed any kids menu. I said, "Yes, two please." She came back and tossed them on the table. I said, "Thank you!" and she turned around to walk away with an attitude like we were a nuisance and didn't say one word after that like "you're welcome". She seemed like she did want to be there nor very upbeat/friendly.
Food came out quickly. Service was okay. I felt like the server was annoyed by me that I kept asking for a refill on my iced tea. My one child wanted a hot fudge sundae for dessert but was informed that they were out of hot fudge. They chose another dessert. Over all bill for the 4 of us about $53.
Not sure if I...
