Town Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Moraga

I was driving on Rheem Blvd. in Moraga, and I saw a cluster of red umbrellas with people in small groups. All of a sudden I realized I was hungry. So, I turn around my car and drive back to find out what is drawing people there.

The place was Town Bakery and Cafe. Lots of people were drinking coffee and eating.  I walked inside and on the right I noticed the pastries in the cases  tempting me to their call. On the left,  there were chicken eggs, wines, and different sweet breads-- ready to be consumed.

I was getting hungrier by the second. I ordered Fish Tacos--beer battered Alaskan cod. I usually prefer grilled fish, but this was quite delicious. Just as delicious to my skin was sitting in the sun as I ate my lunch.

Great service and turn around time for Sunday Brunch at 10:30! New menu items! I had the Crispy Huevos Rancheros, nice size and tasty. Also, now serving dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. They no longer have the Beyond Burger! The Avocado Toast is the only easily modified plant based option anymore. It would be nice if there were a few more items that were plant based or items that could be easily modified? The Smoked Salmon Omelet seemed to taste even better today than what seems like...

I am done with this place. Not writing this lightly, as I've been here four times already and always had less than stellar service. We walked out this fourth time, as they sat us and proceeded to ignore us while serving people that came in after. Could not even get an acknowledgement of the young staff or what I believed was one of the owners. After twenty minutes (it was maybe 35% full) with no menu or water (it's 82F now), we left and went to Sushi Fighter. Two stars because of inattentive terrible...
