"Excellent" We were craving steak so we ended up here. Not for the first time of course. We walked in and were greeted by the hostess which was wearing a smile on her face and was very welcoming. Seated immediately and then greeted by our server which was also very friendly. Got our drinks out to us right away and started taking our order. Our appetizer come our first of course. The fried zucchini was awesome. A big enough portion that two of us couldn't finish alone. Not long after that our meals come out. They were exactly what we had ordered and they way we ordered it. I like my steaks rare and it came out perfect. The grilled shrimp was sauteed in a garlic butter and paired with the steak perfectly. Thank you to all from the hostess to the cooks for making the experience well worth the price. Definitely will be going back. Enjoy!

Came on a Saturday for lunch and was treated to a moderate paced service. The place had a very quaint atmosphere and seemed very family friendly. Not that busy for a Saturday lunch, which I enjoyed. Other than that, the food was delicious! I got myself the Stockyard Steak which comes with two sides. I chose the mixed veggies and steak fries (not pictured, but comes on it's own plate). Also, each steak plate comes with a small loaf of buttered bread, which was soft and crunchy and totally balanced out the richness of the meal. The total for this was around ~$17, which I believe isn't that bad based on what you are getting. Portions were reasonable and you get your money's worth. Definitely would recommend!

The only thing good was the steaks but they were not the sizes they were supposed to be. 2/3 thirds at best. An 12 ounce cut a 1-1/2 wide bye 3/4” thick. The salad was just lettuce with a couple slivers of red cabbage and carrot. The baked potatoes barely had any toppings about a teaspoon of sour cream and butter had good amount of green onions though. The zucchini appetizer was cut in thin strips all you tased was the batter. For $15 what a joke see the picture. We use to go to Spunky steer before they all closed up. The steak taste here is the same but portions and quality are no where near the Spunky steer levels. I drove from Yucaipa to see a lady drop and squat next to my car as I was leaving.

On 5/8 I called to place a togo order. I was advised that I would have to come in and order. Okay. Go in and place my order. As I’m placing my order and waiting with 5 kids that are already frustrated because we just drove 3 hours to get here, I kid you not at least 5 other people came in and picked up phone orders. Are you kidding me. Okay, get the food and didn’t check it. That was my bad but my family has been going there since 1989 with no problems. Drive another hour and a half to our final destination, pull out our food and I’m missing a salad, baked potato, and shrimp. Oh it gets better. My 5 year old is telling me his burger is hard. I take his and my other sons burger apart to find that they were cooked with the patty paper on them!!!! I call to complain and speak to Eddie, explain everything and Eddie stated he will put a meal in the book for me to be covered. I explained that because I’ve moved 3+ hours away I only go once if I’m lucky twice a year. I was told that was fine. I called today to be advised by a female manager that there is no notes and nothing she can do. So, I’m making up a story? And I just happen to know the manager, and day he works, for a restaurant I go to once a year. Okay. So this has left me no choice but to leave a review. They are not who they use to be. I have photos of me peeling the wrapper off both patties. I will post these and my call record showing when I called and the duration of 10-15 minutes when I get home in a few days. Very...

Rarely do I leave reviews, but this is a must! I put 2 stars only because hate is such a strong word. I've been told by several people over the years to go in here... Best steaks they said, huge beers they said (stein). So finally today was my day. I worked my way into a day and night difference from the outside to the inside of the building. Outside side looks like a place to get a nice steak, inside looked like a 60s run down diner with no atmosphere. My wife tossed up the idea of going to a different place. I was too hell bent on having a steak to change my mind with at the time seemed like crazy idea. I decided to order the steak (rare) with the baby backs. Food came out promptly (after asking for our order 5 times in 8mins) and visually looked like an enjoyable meal. Then I tried cutting into my steak, the one I've waited years for!! After about 13-18 strokes of a dull steak knife and depleting all the juice from the steak I had nothing but a bite of gristle and over cooked meat. My rare steak was medium well to be polite but the furthest from rare you could think of. The beer I had was not in a chilled mug and went flat almost instantly. The ribs looked microwaved with a watered down, generic, tasteless sauce on top. The wait staff was friendly, I was only waiting for them to ask me how the food was. Probably could have saved me from writing this review. Do yourself the favor and get something else...

Very disappointed in this place. I've gone to this place for years and never had I had this bad of an experience. The food was great. However, The service and environment was HORRIBLE. I understand it's a family restaurant and alcohol will be served, but there should still be standards. There was a horribly loud family, that my family plus two others had to endure, and the waitress nor the manager felt the need to do anything about it. One family made a comment how they couldn't even hear the waitress to order and my family couldn't even talk to each other as no one could hear anything. We tried to literally had to scream to talk and it wasn't worth it. So we sat and listened to this party the entire time. Did I mention we had two seniors and a child under a year old? To top it off the waitress ended up becoming rude and did not attend to anyone other than this loud, belligerent party. When brought to the attention of the manager he already knew the party was being loud and did nothing prior to rectify the situation. When brought up to the waitress she wanted to argue with our table. Upon the other family leaving applauds happened in our section of the restaurant. The manager comp'd drinks only after complaining and wanting boxes to leave. They could have taken care of all parties instead of...
