Ice cream was great but a certain employee was CLEARLY agitated that we were there. It was 8:50 on a Friday night and AFTER CHECKING GOOGLE for their hours, (which stated that they didn't close until 10:00 pm) we assumed we had plenty of time. After all there were other customers in there. As we walked in, if looks could kill, we would have all been dead. Thinking she had just had a bad day we ignored the looks. We order and go sit down to eat our ice cream, whereas the same girl starts walking towards our table then abruptly sighs LOUDLY and starts sweeping in the area just past our booth. After about 30 min, all of the lights were turned off except the ones over where we were sitting. So we all check the time, 9:34 but got up to leave. So here comes Miss Congeniality around the corner and states that they closed at 9::00pm!! I replied that we had checked Google which said 10. She states that they used to but changed it the previous weekend. Now remember this was Friday. So it had only been changed for less than a week!!. As we walked out the door i told her that they really needed to inform Google of the changes ASAP. Now my question is: as we walked in, why didn't she say 'hi guys, we close in 10 minutes? Or the girl who took our orders could have said, 'since your just getting ice cream it doesn't really matter but just to let you know, we close in 10 minutes. No problem whatsoever. We would have taken our ice cream outside to eat it, or ate it in the car. It sure would have been better than to get all the evil looks, esp from the girl sweeping and she did it TWICE! Either someone forgot to train this girl on how to be polite to the customers or she could have just cared less about the whole situation. Same old stuff you see lots of places, no respect for customers or their elders. You know it really isn't too far to DQ in Lenoir. Or maybe just take a trip to one of the local Food Lions and buy a half gallon and go home and enjoy it all...
Read moreALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD! Now, I love me some Silver Creek but this am I was HIGHLY disappointed. I went to get my usual breakfast and shockingly there's no car in line (Thank God!) 1 order is 3 pieces of bacon, eggs & a pancake, livermush ATW. The next is bacon, egg & cheese sandwich. I pull up to pay and the lady says $10.23 for the 1st order. I realize thats too expensive for what I ordered so, another girl reads back my order and I say "Correct". I overhear the girl who originally took my order scream out sausage. The other girl hands me my food and I pull over to check and they have me sausage instead of bacon & I was missing my livermush. I turn around and tell them what happened and I pull up to the window. I hand them the receipt and I hear the original girl yell to the cook "See, I told you it was a livermush ATW!" Another woman comes up to the window (who sees me every sunday am), asked me "You wanted bacon instead of sausage, right?" I said "Yes. I ordered bacon but recieved sausage." She closes the window and the other girl who read back my order comes up to apologize and hands me my sandwich and an apple turnover. She asks me "Do you still want the bacon?" I said "Yes, cause that's what's I originally ordered." She then says " Because, we typed the order in wrong, you're going to have to pay for the bacon, is that okay? It'll be $1.73 after tax." I was shocked and said "No." So, not only did I not get my bacon but, I didn't get my money back for the sausage. I was charged more than what I was suppose to for the wrong thing. My family has been going here for generations & I absolutely love this place but, I've NEVER had a problem like this 😡😔 -- UPDATE 6/17/19-- I called the manager and she handled the problem very professionally. Very sweet lady and I'll definitely be back but just...
Read moreDidn't realize the variety they offered! Only got ice cream today, but it was VERY busy and the customers ordered so many different foods! My only criticism is that, after placing our order for 2 ice creams, for some reason only half the order was filled, I waited and waited for the second cone to be completed. As I watched much more complex orders that were placed after mine be filled, I caught their attention and they realized they'd overlooked half my order. They apologized and immediately began completing our order. In not sure what happened, all I saw was my soft serve cone sitting in the sprinkle container and it was left there for at least 15-20 seconds. They then handed it to me. As I started walking out and called my daughter I went to lick my cone and it was already sliding down my cone and hit my hand. I did all I could, but I couldn't do anything but let some of my cone fall off and lick as fast as possible to keep the entire cone from being a total loss. I was in a rush or I would have gone back inside to (hopefully) have them make my experience a success. The place had very nice, friendly and open vibe that left me with a good feeling, despite...
