Today I ordered a take out meal from here. I tried to call a few times but they didn't answer their phone so I put my order in online. I ordered at 5:30pm so that gave me an hour of time before I took my husband dinner on his break at 6:30. Our order was some cheese fries, a chicken sandwich and ten wings. I got a confirmation text saying that they had received my online order and I headed over to pick my order up. I got there at 5:45 and figured I would be waiting a little longer for my order of course. A waiter came out and I gave him my order number and he told me it would be right out. Cars behind me came, got their order and went and people came in and out of the restaurant. There was a car in front of me, however; that had been waiting longer than me. I saw the waiter bring them out a drink and a complimentary dessert. The waiter came out to my car after I had been waiting for 20 minutes and asked what the name on my order was again. I told him that I ordered online and gave him my order number again. He said ok and it will be right out avian. After waiting for 40 minutes, I called the waiter to my car and asked if he knew when my food would be ready and he said the kitchen was backed up and it will be out soon. (While people are going in and out and other cars are pulling up after me and getting their food.) I wasn't able to bring my husband his dinner because I never got my food on time. After waiting an hour, I went into the restaurant. The waiter who knew I had been waiting that long was taking care of the another man (the car that was in front of me who also waited an hour and had to come back because they received the wrong order). No one approached me to ask if I needed help, I pretty much had to call a waiter down to ask for a manager. ( I was a server and understand that places get busy, at this time there were many empty tables in the already very small restaurant.) Also, there was another woman behind me who had to bring her order back because they got the completely wrong order and one plate had an undercooked burger on it. After speaking to the manager they brought my order out but I had to go in again because they put no dressings in the bag. I finally pulled out with my food at 7:30 (2 hours later). I was not offered to be compensated in any way. It takes a lot for me to get upset or complain. I was a server myself and if a restaurant is busy or makes a simple mistake I am always understanding. I know things happen but there is no excuse for staff knowing that myself and another car was sitting and waiting on food for over an hour while other cars were pulling up behind us and leaving and other dine-in tables were walking in, receiving food and leaving. Like I said, they also got multiple orders wrong. If you can't handle online orders then don't offer that as an option. Also if you are a waiter/waitress and you know your table has been waiting a while you need to talk to you manager and kitchen staff and get that order pushed to the front. I had paid online and already left a 20% tip. I was also offered no compensation for any of this. I am all about supporting small businesses but this was ridiculous. This was actually the second chance I was giving them because last time I ordered to go it took about 45 minutes. I will not be going back....

I would love to know who I gave any compliments on the food to considering that we didn't give a single compliment to anyone at the restaurant! Seeing this kind of response to my honest review is insane. You forgot about a table, you didn't heat up the buffalo dip and then forgot to send it back out, so take accountability. People make mistakes and bad days happen but don't try to make me look like a liar when I am telling the truth, own up to it! If this is the way you run your business and respond to a negative experience from a customer, I can guarantee that I will not 'give you another try'!
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! My family of four ate at Blue 42's yesterday before my daughter's softball game. We had our puppy with us so we sat at a table outside. Some of the teammates that were inside informed the server that we were outside and my son also went inside to inform them that we were out seated out there but apparently, we were still forgotten. The server eventually came and took our drink orders and brought menus. We ordered Buffalo Chicken Dip as an appetizer but it was brought out ice cold, you could see the chunks of unmelted cheese in it. My daughter ended up having to take it back inside to tell them because no one ever came back out to check on us. They rolled their eyes at her and had an attitude about telling them it was cold. After about 45 minutes, our food finally came out. We were nearly finished eating when our server came out with what looked to be the checks and asked if we needed anything else, in which I told her that we still hadn't received the ranch we asked for with our food nor the Buffalo Chicken Dip. She brought it out and told us that she had it taken off the bill and apologized because she thought someone else had brought it out to us. I have worked multiple waitress positions and my daughter is a server/bartender and I can honestly say that the service and staff here were terrible. Read moreThis was our 2nd time there. Came back, from out of town as we go to our vacation home, and was so disappointed. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Got drinks fast. Waited for appetizers or waiter to come take our order. We watched food go to table that sat down right before us, which was a good sign we thought. Then we saw another table that sat down after us get their order taken. I stopped another waitress and told her we still haven't given our order. She sat us, so she knew we had been there a while. She tells our server to come to us. We then see a table that was sat at least 5 minutes after us, get their actual meal. We still haven't had our order taken or received our apps. He finally comes and apologizes about forgetting we were there. It happens. But the manager that called me sweetie and sugar the whole time said she wasn't sure who was sat down when. I told her I know who was and so does the hostess. She says she will rush our order. At that point, there was no rushing, as we were the only ones without food. They brought appetizers out and of course they were wrong (still charged foe what we ordered and didn't get). Finally we get food. It's been over an hour since we sat down. Everyone has left or has their food.We go to pay and it $110 without anything removed for the mistakes. She tells me the amount and calls me sweetie again, like that makes up for being forgotten for an hour and getting our order wrong. Locals recommended the place in the spring. We loved it then. We won't return because customer service does not exist. At our business, we would have compensated for the poor service and not patronize the customer with "sugar and sweeties" to make things better.
