Stopped in afternoon on Saturday with my son and husband. Checked in at door and waited approximately 15minutes. Was seated by friendly staff and promptly greeted by a waitress to get our drink orders. Sadly, that is where the great service ended! We had to wait for drinks, then wait longer because my son's milk, and the lemons for my lemon water were forgotten. We placed our order, and when we received the biscuits and cornbread, we ended up eating those off of napkins instead of plates as they were served 15 minutes before any of the other food. And then there was the dog. Staff allowed a customer to bring in a barking yorkie in a stroller. (Several waitresses appeared to know the customers based on the conversation and their greetings.) As a disabled person with a service dog myself, I was very disappointed with the restaurant to see them having allowed a pet into the dining establishment. When it was clearly not a service dog (inside a stroller, whining, barking and being hand fed while next to the table!) I did mention to staff about ADA federal laws regarding service dogs, and I do hope management learns and does better. Edited to add My husband reminded me that I forgot to mention how the waitress splashed and spilled tea all over the table, my food and me while she was refilling his drink. She did apologize but she did not assist at all with cleaning up.

We are locals and know the Friday crowd. We placed our order by phone for pick up. When we arrived we gave our name placed during phone order and paid. We waited 15 minutes. The manager on duty then advised that door dash driver may have picked up our order and they would make another order. It was simple, chicken dumplings, hb casserole and carrots. Another 10 minutes passed and we were told they were out of carrots and did we want something else. At this point it was over 40 minutes since promised time during ordering. We said we will wait. They brought out the to go order in another 10 minutes. We made a huge mistake assuming they would complete the order. The carrots were not in the order. See receipt and quality check. Whoever signed that did not check the order. I cannot say the food was great. Usual dumplings, the service though.. it has declined greatly at this location in the past six months. To wait over an hour for a simple order placed by phone is pitiful. Get it together and do better!

We tried several times to join the waitlist online but it would not advance on the screen. When I called this location to ask if we join the waitlist over the phone. The person answering the phone said we could not join the waitlist over the phone. I stated the online was not working. The associate on the phone said “if it’s not working then it’s not working.” Don’t get the French Toast! We had 2 people order it and was highly disappointed. If you ever had thick mouth watering French toast you will be super sad when you eat this French toast. It was thin sourdough bread dipped in egg (that is all). All 3 kids said it was NOT very good. It was missing cinnamon & powdered sugar. It just tasted like bread!! The grilled trout, eggs, bacon, & biscuits was very good!! The biscuits were the best part.

I normally don’t write negative reviews but we had a really poor customer service experience from our waitress. We were there 08/25/23 at 10pm. We were seated by a very friendly woman but our actual waitress was very subpar. My best guess is she was upset she had a table an hour before close. Our first encounter with her was very stand-offish. She came out and asked “What do you want?” Luckily we already had our items preselected to make our visit as quick as possible where we did come in later to be respectful of everyone’s time. We are the type of customers if it’s time for close we are out at least 5-10 before and we would have even taken our food to the car if we hadn’t finished before then so they could get home. Once we ordered it took about 20 minutes which is no big deal. It was late and food at to be made for 2 adults, a toddler, and an 8 month old. When our food was brought out and I was thanking the waitress for each of our plates as she was handing them to us she was very passive aggressive. Each thank you I said the more passive aggressive she got with her responses which really set a bad tone with me. When she asked if there was anything else after handing us our food my husband let her know that his biscuit and gravy was missing and she responded very annoyed “okay” with an attitude and just walked away. That experience left a bad experience on my husbands part. She brought out his biscuit and gravy and said she would check back in. She did not but it’s fine because at this point she was making the experience that was supposed to be a rare opportunity for my husband and I to have a dinner that is relaxing and nice experience a bad one. He works a lot and works late so it’s rare we get to do that. We had our table clean, plates clean and stacked at the end of our table and we were out by 5-10 minutes before closed. We did everything to accommodate this server the best we could and were friendly despite her being extremely passive aggressive. I don’t know if it’s because we came in an hour before close and she assumed that we would be there all night, I don’t know if she saw two kids and thought she would have a huge mess to clean up and was annoyed, if she was having a bad day or if she really was just a terrible server who doesn’t need a customer service job. It’s never good to judge needless to say because we were the opposite of all those things. The only jobs I’ve worked have been customer service jobs and it really hurt as a service employee to see just how poorly she treated us and more than likely treats others. I don’t have a name to provider. She wasn’t a good experience so I did not look for it. If she happens to read reviews like I did for service jobs I held in the past my best advice is come in to work with a positive attitude every day. If you can’t have a good day don’t let that impact other people who have no control over what you may be dealing with. It costs nothing to be kind. If a positive attitude doesn’t help make your own day better it will at least guaranteed bless someone else’s day. We did have a waitress that wasn’t ours come over with bright colored hair and she was the sweetest. She spoke to my two year old and talked to us for a bit and herself as well as the cashier that was an older gentleman were the only kind interactions we experienced last night and they stood out as well as shined. We won’t be back to this location again. We usually go to Kingsport but we gave you all a chance because you stayed open later and we could make it in time from my husband...

Upon receiving drink orders, we received kids plastic cups that may have been 8 ounces. The waitress said the dishwasher was broke, and they were told not to use glasses. Well upon looking around several customers had glassware for their beverages. Then one person in my party had asked for onions for their pinto beans upon ordering. That person did not receive the onions and requested them a second time with our waitress, and she still didn’t bring them. A second person in my party finally said to the waitress when the meal was almost ate, “said hey he asked for onions”, and the one that had asked for them told her never mind I don’t need them now for I wanted them while I was eating. I asked for the little bottles of pancake syrup that is usually brought out warmed instead of syrup in a condiment cup and lid. The waitress came back out with another condiment cup of syrup and said they didn’t have no bottles. My scrambled eggs were cold and bland; they didn’t even scramble them with salt and pepper. This was one of my worst meals and experience at this Cracker Barrel’s restaurant located in Morristown TN. I asked the manager to take the drink prices down half and she would not. I said on your website it shows 32 ounces of Coke for $3.29, which we did not receive no 32 ounces in those kiddy cups, even though we got 2 each. However, the manager said, “that price is for our takeout menu”. I gave a zero score when I checked out, and I didn’t even bother to shop in the store (which I ALWAYS shop at this location). Upon discussion with my colleagues today at my employment, I learned they didn’t have a good experience at this exact location. Unless, this restaurant ups their A game on customer service my family and I will not be back to...

A friend and I went in to dine about two weeks ago and had a horrible experience. The waiter and on-duty manager seemed to have an issue with us from what we could tell. When we were seated, the waiter was asked to remove the card that has their desserts and new alcohols from our table. Weird, but we figured it had something to do with us looking young. When we got our food, our waiter immediately gave us our check, not even giving us any time to eat or order anything else. To both my friend and I, that is a sign of the waiter being "complete" with our dining experience. The whole time we were eating, both the manager and waiter kept peaking around the corner to stare at us. The waiter came around one more time, not even really stopping to hear my friend out when they asked for a refill on their tea. My friends glass was refiled with soda, and it completely ruined their meal (They have severe sensory issues from their adhd). When I finally noticed the staff staring at us, I immediately lost my appetite for the delicious chicken and dumplings I had. We were there for under 30 minutes, leaving halfway through our food from how uncomfortable the situation was. We didn't say anything at the time because of anxiety, but I cannot stop thinking about this occurrence and how bad it makes me feel. I'm still not sure as to what we did to deserve this discrimination, but we will not be eating at the Morristown location for a long time. Edited for spelling mistakes and the assumed time frame to...
