The Bagel Place — Restaurant in Mount Arlington

The bagels are fantastic and the staff is very friendly, but the service is in dire need of help. Walked into an empty store and ordered two bagels, one with cream cheese and one egg sandwich. 20 mins later... nothing. The one guy on the grill was putting together about 6 tickets of orders first, before making my two bagels. While I was getting increasingly frustrated, an older gentleman ordered a bagel with "light" butter. Despite hearing the specifics of his order myself, the guys behind the counter proceeded to slab butter on this man's bagel. The man left the store, opened his bagel, hurled it across the parking lot in frustration and came back to ask how someone could mess up a bagel with light butter, to which the kid responded, "I'm sorry, it wasn't on the ticket." Not on the ticket?? The guy asked for one thing... come on guys, we're talking bagels, not rocket science. The owner needs someone capable there to keep the team up to...

Officially my least favorite spot now. Walked in. Had two people walk right in front of me while I waited to give my order. Didn’t say anything about it. Then proceeded to wait to have my order taken, but was just given a cold look multiple times. Oh and last week called in an order 20 minutes early. Showed up, and they didn’t even start making my order when they said it was only a 15 minute wait for it to be ready upon ordering. So I got their and waited an additional 15-20minutes for my order because the kid never took initiative to start my order, but had to be reminded a second time to do so. Great food don’t get me wrong, but staff is lacking and their communication isn’t their. Customer service is a huge deal...

I have been going to The Bagel Place since they opened when I was pregnant a few years back. The food is always fresh, the price is beyond reasonable and the staff is amazing. They always have smiles on their faces, which is nice to see when you walk in.

Usually I come in with a huge order for the office and Sam is always so accommodating to everyone's requests.

I cannot say enough great things about his food and bagels. The bagels are perfect, it's the perfect crunch on the outside to the perfect softness on the inside. I will continue to go here and if you haven't tried it yet,...
