The worse dining experience I've had in a very, very long time. Multiple mistakes throughout this visit. Order waters with lemon and brought them without lemon. Ordered a pitcher of margaritas (more like a pitcher of ice) and didn't bring cups to pour it in (waited approximately 5 minutes for the cups which we had to ask for). Asked for the lemons (again) and was brought limes. Set cheese dip on our table and acted as if we ordered it (which we didn't) and told her to take it away. Ordered parillias fajitas and was brought texanos fajitas (short 2 meats and instead of taking it away she brought out the chorizo and carnitas in a bowl, approximately 5 minutes later, which didn't have the same flavor profile since it wasn't mixed in with the dish) Didn't bring the sides with the fajitas until 5 minutes later. Asked for the check and was brought another tables check. At this point I take the check to the front to talk to the manager. Started off the conversation with the manager that I don't want a discount or anything for free, I just want to communicate my terrible experience, gives me a six dollar discount which is the only reason the server got an $11 tip on a $49 bill (was giving a $5 tip as not to punish the bar tender on the pitcher but also added the $6 discount back through the tip). Again, don't want nothing for free or discounted, I'm stubborn like that plus I want them to know what I'm saying is real. not just someone trying to get something for nothing. Each time we pointed out the mistakes to the server she would leave and then several minutes walk back by our table to bring something to other tables but not what we were waiting on. I tipped this same server $10 on a $17 bill the previous weekend (which was our first time to this location, usually go to the Murfreesboro or Hermitage location but, after this experience in Mt. Juliet, I don't know if I want to do business with them at all). Based on my experience I would not recommend...
Read moreAcross the board, a relatively average Mexican cuisine restaurant with less than average food portions at a more than average price.
My girlfriend and I stopped in on Sunday with some friends from church. The atmosphere was pretty much what you’d expect from a Mexican restaurant; kinda janky but still functional seating, aggressive mariachi music, and relatively non-attentive wait staff. I know that makes me sound like a jerk, but let’s be real.
My girlfriend ordered a cheese quesadilla, and I kid you not, this thing came out and was the size of the palm of my hand. We thought they mistakenly made her a kid’s quesadilla, but no… apparently the kids one comes with rice. This was just a sad little quesadilla sitting there on an empty plate. Fine, whatever.
The astounding part was that they charged me $5 for it. Absolutely unacceptable. That thing should have cost no more than 99¢. I’m okay with restaurants doing smaller portions (I actually think America needs that), but the price should match the portion size.
Overall a perfectly average experience, not sure I would...
Read moreWe arrived maybe 10 minutes after it opened for lunch. The building was older but we gave it a shot. When we walked in we were hit with the fragrance of cleaner that smelled like a port-a-potty... We had to wait few minutes to be seated in a near empty restaurant. We have 5 boys and a baby, but it shouldn't take long to push a table together. We were walked to the back and the smell was everywhere we walked. The waitress was not friendly at all. The buckle on the high chair was broken so I couldn't use it... But it was sticky, so that was gross too... The lighting was very dim. We gave our orders and when they came out neither my husbands or my plate came prepared as the menu advertised.. In fact I don't even think my order was right in any way. The only reason I am not giving a 1 star for food is my son said he enjoyed his taco and refried beans. My teenage son had to use the bathroom and he told is the mens room was out of order... So she used the women's since there was no other option. After we ate we waited forever for our check. What a waste of money. We will not...
