Ziggy's Pizza & Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Mount Juliet

I'm giving you a good review because food is good service is fast and for the most part most employees are friendly .I have eaten and ordered many times but normally don't wait around and watch and I'm glad .I own several business myself and I like to know what going on when I'm not around. No one runs things like you do yourself. But your staff does pretty good on service and things. You can tell at least one person is in charge and knows what to do about everything. I'm not in the food business but I know you have lots of regulations. One I am aware of is handling food with bare hands is a no no and handling Money and food with the same hands..I observed this being abused badly. I would have stopped operation if I were the health Dept. So maybe before they come in and check, you will have time to go over policies and procedures for handing food. Just in 5 min I observed.Pizza laid on floor in box, handle money then food, answering phone then fixing food, no one washing hands, holding pizza with bare hands while taking money. Not using gloves in preparing cooked food . Yuck my pet peeves. No one wants your nasty hands on there food. Unless they are at home.ps.. And please sharpen pizza cutter they never cut all the way through you have to recut or tear them apart ever time I eat one..I pray you succeed in business and continue...

HORRIBLE PLACE. FOOD IS OVER PRICED. PIZZA TASTE LIKE CARDBOARD. SALAD IS BROWN AND SLIMY. OWNER IS HARASSING IF YOU LEAVE A REVIEW AND YOU HAVE WORKED FOR THEM LIKE I DID AND THANKFULLY I SEEN HOW BAD IT REALLY WAS A WEEK INTO WORKING FOR THEM. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR KIDS TO WORK FOR THEM.THIS PLACE WAS GREAT UNTIL DENNIS PURCHASED THE PLACE. EMPLOYEES WHO HAD WORKED FOR THEM SINCE ZIGGYS FIRST OPENED HAVE ALL QUIT DUE TO DENNIS AND THE HORRIBLE WAYS HE IS RUNNING IT AND HE CAN NOT KEEP EMPLOYEES AT ALL. TAKE THE TIME TO GO INTO TOWN FOR PIZZA OR GO TO THE TOBACCO STORE FOR HUNTS PIZZA WHICH IS BETTER AND NOT OVER PRICED THEY ALSO HAVE UNLIMITED TOPPINGS AT NO EXTRA COST. DELIVERY IS ALWAYS SLOW AND TAKES OVER AN HOUR. STAY FAR FAR AWAY SAVE THE HEADACHE. WE ORDER A CHEF SALAD WITH FETA CHEESE WHICH WAS NOT ON IT AND THEY CHARGE ME FOR IT ALSO MEAT THAT WAS NOT ON IT ALL WE GOT WAS LETTUCE TOMATO AND CUCUMBER WITH SHREDDED SHARP CHEESE.WE CALLED TO GET OUR ORDER FIXED AND DENNIS WIFE WAS VERY VERY RUDE AND WE ENDED UP HAVING TO DISPUTE THE CHARGE BECAUSE SHE REFUSED TO REFUND OUR MONEY AND REFUSED TO TAKE...

On 2 separate orders, consecutive days, orders were placed via call-in for delivery to work. First order was chicken parm sub & chef salad. Sub was a let down as it appeared to be canned chicken with sauce just splattered over. Provolone was stuck to bread but hard AF! Looked as if sub had been sitting prior to being delivered. Chef salad was legit and delicious. Second order was for 10" gluten free supreme & chef salad again, cause it was so damn good. Both orders were just below $22 without delivery tip. I tipped each driver, each day $5 for bringing it to me. Second day order was charged accordingly, but received a garden salad instead of the chef salad I was charged. When I called back to let them know, Kelsie answered, same girl that took the order responded "what do you want me to do about it?" Smh! How bout fix it. I mean, after all you rang up my chef salad but sent a garden salad ... where's my $3? While it was more about the principle and not so much $3, it will be the LAST time I order from this place! They only get a 2nd star for the great...
