My husband, son, and I were visiting family in the area. On the way back home we popped in for a quick bite. We ordered at the counter with a very sweet young lady and seated ourselves. Our food was served separately instead of together because they had brought me the wrong burger and forgot my sons burger. I had to let the server know what we had ordered. Then wait for it to be made, by the time we received it my husband had finished his burger and fries. The burger and onion rings were tasty but, they charge extra for lettuce, ketchup, mustard, and mayo (.75) which is fine, I just never herd of a burger joint charging extra for condiments or lettuce before. Some of the burgers they serve comes with fries and a tiny Coleslaw (which we didnt receive any Forks for the 3 Coleslaws so i had to go up to the counter and ask for them and i received a 1 knife and 1 fork....the mini burger I ordered for my son was definitely mini but it came on a regular size bun which was weird. What was really disappointing was the overall taste of the chicken parm and meatball parm for $12.99 each. I ordered them with our order to take home for my 2 girls, but it was frozen chicken tenders that tasted frozen, and the meatball parm which was crushed up meat balls (I think) that weren't hot -the sauce that came on both subs tased like it came out of a can.The young man and young lady at the front were very sweet, however the 2 cooks, onew with the glasses and the other cook could use some training on manners and being professional - not loud and obnoxious. For my first time here I wish it had been a better experience. Over all to me $71 bucks was way too much for what was served. Not too sure if we'll ever go back again.
What we ordered- 1 Chicken parm 1 meatball parm 1 order of onion rings 1 cheese burger with fries 1 charburger with fries 1 mini burger 1...
Read moreThis place is very disappointing. When my family and I went here, we never expected to the food to taste so PLASTIC AND TASTLESS. When my daughters' ordered CHEESE fries, it tasted like NOTHING. They put a slice of the cheese on top, it wasn't even melted and good. It was put in such a lazy way that made my family cringe and the cheese was just as bad as the tastless fries. When I ordered my sandwich, it straight up tasted like CARDBOARD. It was so upsetting that I didn't even want to eat it. My wife ordered their famous burger and was disappointed as well. It was so bad she said she wanted to throw up.. I felt like telling someone to get that chef away from the grill. It was such a bad mistake stopping at this play. The only good thing that changed my mind a bit was the ice cream. But it wasn't like "WOW! This is heaven." It was only good. I was just glad it wasn't as terrible as the rest of the food. So if you want to eat food that tastes like nothing and cardboard, come here. The only thing I recommend is the ice cream. They young girl asked me how was my ice cream sundae, I told her very loud so hopefully the grill side would hear, " it's delicious and 10x better than my food". Guys it's not hard to work a grille and take pride in your food especially when the sign in front of your place says " the best burgers for the last 50 years". And invest in some cheese sauce it doesn't cost much. A slice of American cheese on top of fries is...
Read moreI usually don't like leaving bad reviews about local businesses for various reasons, but im honestly just getting really tired of all these small businesses dropping food and service quality and relying on being a local institution to keep running. I mean, this isn't even unique to the after, but its just the most recent in a long chain of experiences I've had in the area lately. I got a pretty simple takeout order for 2 and get home to find out half my order wasn't even included. Girl who took the order sounded like she didn't want to hear my voice which is probably why my food was missing. But anyway the food we did end up making it home with looked like it just got dipped in a glass of water and tinfoil jammed on it and tossed on top of each other in the bag, man. youre busy, is Saturday evening. I get it, but I mean i work hard for my money, too. Why would i wanna buy that? Been eating here periodically since i was a kid and I've never had a problem. I hate writing bad reviews about local businesses because i get it, we are all neighbors. But I'm honestly getting pretty tired of people selling shit to...
