I use to frequent this shop as it's the closest to my home, however I have sworn off going to this shop after a few incedences. First is the staff is not all as knowledgeable as they should be, making recommendations that benefit the shop over the customer. They would rather sell more parts over helping you get back into action on a reasonable budget recommending replacing all parts even where repairing is an option. Second is the fact that the staff is discouraging to females getting into "their hobbies". I caught a staff member making fun of a customer for ordering a pink wheelie bar for an RC car for his daughter, which in my book is just unacceptable. Lastly is they are not reliable and often are closed before their posted closing time, including one day when I called about an hour before they closed knowing it took me almost 30 minutes to get there to confirm they would be open. When I got there the shop was closed almost 25 minutes before the time I confirmed with the employee over the phone. I would much rather drive a bit farther to a better shop with friendlier more competent staff. Not to mention their rc selection is very limited and unless you are lookingā specifically for Traxxas parts they most likely won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI read the previous review and had to write one as I wondered if they were talking about the same shop! Which is one worth driving miles to by the way. I've phoned before when running late and they've stayed open 5 mins to accommodate me, not once have I arrived to find it closed early. They stock a wide range of RC brands not just Traxxas, and carry a very large range of general RC items inc tires, bodies, batteries, chargers, gears, radio equipment etc. all of which are essential once you've bought an RC car I assuem they carry a wide range of Traxxas spares for good reason - it's the best selling brand in the RC world, therefore it's common sense they're going to stock a lot of their spares! It's many peoples go to place for advice as it's good advice. If they say something needs replacing nor repairing it needs replacing! Most RC 'repairs' involve replacing a broken bit with a new one. I will drive miles to get good advice like this shop offers. The personal touch is something you can't get by...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is probably one of my favorite places to visit. I've purchased several RC trucks through them, and their price point can beat online re-sellers! They always have a ton of parts in stock, or can easily order parts and they typically arrive pretty quickly. They seem to be familiar with most of the RC brands and models out there and can give you advice on tweaks to make or parts to repair or improve your RC Car. Above all they are just really down to Earth guys who really enjoy the Hobby and are a pleasure to deal with. I hope these guys stick around for a long...
