Really loved spending the morning here. Delicious, scratch-made brunch-type fare in a chic, cozy environment. But that's just one of their angles. They also specialize in espresso drinks and are a roastery as well. Other coffee shops serve affogato, but do they serve special affogato? I'm strictly a decaf drinker, so I'd be grateful if they expanded their offerings to include decaf espresso. I settled for hot chocolate, and it was appropriately rich. I was delighted by the presence of a certain added ingredient I could taste in the whipped cream, which just put it over the top.

I had the toad in a hole which felt like a major upgrade from my usual version of those ingredients, a piece of dry toast and egg over easy. My partner had the sweet and regular potato hash with chorizo, which she called "flavorful, but greasy," which I think is the point. As an aside, the menu designates the vegetarian and vegan options, which is helpful for me; having a gluten-free designator as well would be a plus.

My partner had some bacon lardons for dessert, while I got to try the almond croissant bread pudding with date ice cream. With the cherry-coffee syrup, the dessert is an exciting balance of earthy, juicy, and aromatic....

I purchased two coffee drinks, with the help of the gentleman up front. He assisted me in selecting a good option for travel. They had many unique options. I enjoyed the simple-syrup latte and the mocha latte. The service I received was helpful, polite, friendly, and professional. He even told me about the items that were made for this place (steel work, wood work, etc.)- very cool. It was a great experience and I'll likely go back for some food and other beverages. Update: I went back with my partner and we got a table this time. We were just as pleased as I was the first time. He had a hot cocoa and sausage breakfast sandwich. I had a specialty espresso, the molten one, and a modified chicken breakfast sandwich. All of these items were delicious and had a fantastic presentation.
