I just moved here and I’ve been so excited about this lovely place. We eat here a lot! I’ve ordered mochas twice, we’ve eaten several items on the menu. The staff are always lovely! I had hoped to speak to a manager but no one is ever in when I’m here. I am sitting here today and so am very disappointed. I want this cafe to be brilliant so I will list these things in hopes of change! The mochas, I believe it’s the chocolate syrup being used but it is bitter! I thought at first, just give it another chance, and here I sit sipping a drink I’m not enjoying. It’s not just bitter it’s as if it’s gone bad, the flavor has a rancid taste. I then tasted my husbands caramel drink, it’s bitter. Maybe it’s the coffee. I was a manager and barista in a coffee shop (NOT Starbucks and private owned one), and I know coffee. Something is off! I have had breakfast sandwiches three times, the croissants are stale, the bacon is tough, like chewing jerky, not nice in a sandwich. We have a piece of the apple cake, multiple times now, divine! BUT TODAY THERE WAS A DARK HAIR, stuck IN the cake! So, I hate to call any private business out because I’m for America’s small businesses, but someone should seriously look into this! I am not sure I’ll be back for awhile. I spend $40-50 each visit on food and drinks. I’ve been in at least 8 times since I moved here 9/15…thank you for your...
Read moreI’ve never been so disappointed and uncomfortable in an establishment. My mother and I brought my grandparents for Mother’s Day since there was no local winery open or accessible.
We walk in and it took the two young girls minutes to acknowledge us and take our order. Once we ordered, I was given a coffee mug to fill my grandmother’s coffee. First, i thought it was a cafe where we were served, not where we have to do it ourself, especially when there’s no creamer or flavors out and we’d have to hand the cup back to them anyways. Then, I had told one of the employees that the coffee carafe was empty and I was given a negative attitude back and it took them 5-10 more minutes to even put the carafe back together once the coffee was made.
Other patrons inside were rude as well, but seemed to get the full treatment and far better attitudes from the baristas, seemed like an owner or someone of high importance, but I’m not going to make any assumptions.
Food also came in separate gaps, 10-20 minute gaps. I waited to eat, but my food was definitely cold by the time they were ready to serve the other half of the group.
I’m never coming to a place where I feel uncomfortable and unwelcome again. Glad my grandparents are moving out of this town.
Also too expensive for it to come to a total of $65...
Read moreHighly recommend this Cafe, especially if Chloe is working. Our group of 7 rolled in ordering food and drinks and not only was it out quickly, it was delicious! On top of that, Chloe went above and beyond after overhearing one of my kids say he didn't know the sandwich came with sauce (which he didn't like) and before we could even get a napkin to wipe the sauce off, she came with a fresh one without sauce! We were so grateful for that and blown away by how satisfying the meal was.
The bakery also has killer cinnamon rolls so between Chloe's outstanding customer service, great food, and inviting atmosphere, you've got to...
