Went there in a Friday night with a party of 4. Service was fantastic. Waitress was incredibly friendly & attentive. Really enjoyed Brianna as our server. One of the ladies at our table had cheesecake & said it was delicious. One of the guests had the pulled pork sandwich, said it was great, but the bun got soggy, so she only hate about 2/3 of it. It was a fairly good sized sandwich filled with pork tho. Other guest at my table ordered a chicken type salad (can't remember the name), but she ordered it without the blue cheese. It was a massive salad in size! She took over half of it home as it looked like she hasn't even made a dent in it while eating it, but said it was absolutely delicious. She ordered a Rhine Wine, that was $7 for about 1/3 of a glass & returned saying it didn't taste right. I ordered the Fish & Chips (it was Friday night), ordered it breaded with waffle fries. Received 3 large pieces of fish, coleslaw, 2 pieces of marble rye bread. It was delicious, loved that the breading was very light. When ordering the fish, you have the option of coating: panko breading, beer breading, or original breading. I chose the original breading. Pic of my meal attached (after I ate one of the fish pieces). It was a great dining experience. On a busy Friday night, we got in with no waiting. Overall, dinner here was a Success & we will...
Read moreThe server was kind and understanding, but I ordered an Impossible burger (plant-bazed patty) and asked for it plain - nothing on it- and when I got it, it tasted like pickle juice. Not a huge deal, but it wasn't even supposed to come with pickles in the first place. So the server goes back and talks to the cook, and after being a bit baited by the server, he admits he did indeed put pickles on and then take them off. Also - probably not a big deal. But my entire party had issues with the food. Some food was pretty cold, or overly greasy (fine, not a big deal,) whatever. BUT - here is where the main problems lies - after attempting to eat my fries that literally tasted like fish (probably use the same oil to fry everything) and then eating about half my burger, I go home and about an hour later I get really sick. I'm talking my stomache physically hurts and I had some bowel issues I will not go into detail on here. Now I don't know if it was minor food poisoning, or if it was just that I cannot eat red meat and they likely cooked the Impossible burger in/around all the other red meat foods. I can't say for certain. But I do know that I likely won't be going...

We visited for a late lunch, around 1:00. Zero wait and for some odd reason it was pretty empty for a Friday afternoon lunch.
No matter, just means we didn't have to wait for anything. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our food arrived timely and was fresh and hot. A real bonus, those window seats looking at the fountain or little pond outside make for a really nice dining experience.
I ordered a Wisconsin Harvest Wrap and added grilled chicken. Oh wow it was good! It had dried cranberries, fresh apples, red onions, toasted walnuts and Bleu Cheese on it. It was verrrrrrrry good.
My son had a Charcoal Burger. It's BBQ sauce, bacon strips and cheddar cheese topped with onion strings, he was definitely not disappointed. 😁
My favorite time of menu in Wisconsin is when they start offering sweet potato fries. Charcoal Grill did not leave my taste buds angry. The fries were scrumptious (do people still say that 🤷♀️ 😄? I'm rolling with it, thank you Julie Andrews). I don't know if Charcoal Grill serves them year round, not every restaurant does, but I'm a happy patron when they do.
Kudos to everyone at Charcoal Grill on Hwy 20 in Racine,...
