Trackside Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

This place is a joke. Me and my family went there for dinner on news years eve and the place was so packed that people were standing up waiting for a table. So we seen a sever and asked it there was a waiting list we could get on and she said no. So that was strike one. Strike two is bar does not have a great selection. Don't order anything with redbull because they don't have it. The group of us decided to sit at the bar and eat. The bartender took our order and we waited over an hour for our food. We had somewhere else to be so we asked if we could make our food to go. She acted like it was so hard to put our food into to go containers. My fiance had ordered steak and he decided that he did not want it because he does not like cold steak and we asked for it to be taken off the bill, so the bartender went and asked the owner and he said no which is a dick move!!!! She came back and just told us our price and we still asked about the steak to be taken off and she told us no which is now strike two. We asked to speak with the owner about our bill and we didn't understand why he couldn't take one thing off. The owner comes over to us with an attitude!!! We asked for the steak to be removed from our bill and he said no, then we told him we have been waiting over an hour for our food!!! He just said "Well we are busy " with an attitude. So at this point he's not trying to make his customers happy. He told us that he wasn't going to remove the steak from our bill!!! Really dude!!! So then he says what if I just take all of the food back. Which at this point we are so over this place and we said that was fine. Without an apology he just grabbed the bags and took off with his attitude problem. This is now strike three!!! Save your money and don't go there!!!! Thank you for being a dick to my family!!! The owner needs to drop his attitude problem and he needs to grow up!!! Needless to say we will not be going back there...

I've traveled by Trackside a good 30+ times and never noticed its existence. But, today, I was looking for a good wing spot that I couldn't get at home as I wanted to experience something new.

This place did NOT disappoint! While the mozzarella sticks were pretty average, the wings and ribeye were phenomenal! We got some bone-in Spicy Honey Garlic and they were some of the best I've had in awhile! The sauce was thick and flavorful with a nice little kick on the backend. My mouth is still watering.

The ribeye was good. It came out cooked correctly, but lacked a bit of seasoning. Not to worry because I'm sure there are many out there that just want the natural flavor. The quality of cut was great, marbling was great, flavor was good, and size was right!

Service was great. Other than the slightly longer wait time to get our food (busy lunchtime) and the steak needing just a bit of seasoning, salt and pepper worked well at the table, this place definitely hit the spot. Would recommend and...

Ordered the 14 ounce sirloin, baked potato, and salad, the wife had chicken strips, fries, and steamed broccoli. The steak was ordered to be medium it came rare (40 minutes), also there was approximately 5 ounces of fat and gristle which should have been seen by the cook beforehand. I understand every steak has a fat band but over a third was unedible and for 25 dollars it never should've been prepared as 14 ounces. The salad bar was a complete mess hadn't been stocked , wife's fries were cold as well. The waitress was very apologetic about the steak as she seen the amount of fat and about the cold fries and unkempt salad bar. This is not a large place so it does get busy and floor staff does overwhelmed. We support local businesses before chain restaurants and look for local establishments in area to try.
