Jen's West Main Cafe — Restaurant in Mountain City

Today Feb. 8th Arrived around 12:45 for lunch. Actually (sat, 18) minutes before someone asked if we needed anything. Upon that visit gave the drink order and I wanted the chicken liver plate special offering, my sister wanted the chicken livers,and a small side salad,livers and small salad only. It was 14 minutes later our food arrives we eat a taste or 2 . Realize we still haven't received the drinks, sweet tea and coke. After 10 minutes and the server not stopping by Sister had to go the front counter and order our drinks again. It was obvious that the girl had, had no training. She stayed away from our table most all of the meal after the Check was laying on the table. We got her attention finally and wanted to order a dessert for lunch. And the whole thing that bothers me, we never get the chance to have lunch together. WOW and this was disappointment $31.01 For Liver lunch special w/apples,fried okra, pinto beans and 2 very little rolls unbaked. She got just a liver portion and she only had a small side salad. Finally got dessert. And ready to leave. For just lunch $31.01. When this place is supposed to be reasonable. Been there a few times never...

My wife and I found Jen's West Main Cafe on the way home from a 9 day vacation.....we wanted a good Breakfast....so we asked a cashier at the Dollar General in Mountain City, TN for a recommendation and she said Jen's behind Walgreens!! She was right on the Money $!! This place is adorable and Jenny is a very beautiful person and welcome's you with a true southern spirit. Not to mention the food....#AMAZING!!..... #AFFORDABLE..... We both had 2 eggs over easy....crispy hash browns covered in homemade gravy....fried bologna...bacon..and the best toast we've ever had with real butter!!!!
