Service at this location has gone pretty significantly down hill in the last several months. I typically use the app to order, and do curbside pickup.
First, there's the wait. Today it was 16 minutes from the time I arrived and placed the order, until I recieved my food. Over the last three months, it's been between 15-20 minutes. It used to always be under 10 minutes for curbside. On top of that, I watch people arrive after I order, go in and get their order, and leave while I'm still waiting. Curbside is clearly held as not as important at this location. Overall, terrible for what is supposed to be fast food.
Second, in each of my last several visits, my order has been wrong. Today, my quarter lb deluxe wasn't deluxe, and my four pies were absent. So, I pulled into the drive through, and explained my order was wrong. I was asked to wait. Three minutes later, I was asked how they could help me. I explained the problem, and was asked to pull up to the second window. When I got there, the person at the window asked me if three separate orders were mine before I could reiterate a 3rd time my order was wrong. He went and got a manager, who came to the window and asked me what my order was. Clearly there was 0% communication between my first/second time explaining my order was wrong, and the now third/fourth time. So, I explain the problem again, and hand over the miss made sandwich, requesting it be remade. She walks away, and comes back to let me know there are only three of the type of pie I ordered available. I accept an apple pie as a replacement, but why after already waiting 16 minutes originally, and now almost 10 in drive through do you not have enough of what I ordered cooked? Unacceptable.
Third, there was 0% sense of urgency to correct the order (I was told it'd be a minute, and it took six minutes, while the rest of my food got stone cold.) And, there was no apology. I explained to the manager that this was the third error in as many visits, and all I got in reply was that they're training new people - the same old song and dance I get for this type of thing (and I can believe it, since I've never seen this manager before today.)
My family moved to Mountain Home in 1985. Except for 4 years from 1996 to 2000, and a year from 2015 to 2016, we've been customers of this McDonalds. Service has never been this bad, this long. Get your act together, Airbase road McDonalds - you're one of two in town, and I've not had an incorrect order or such a lengthy wait...
   Read moreThe food is, well, it's McDonald's, so you know what it's going to taste like. This review is about the service. Also, this is based on dozens of visits, not just one.
Basically, no matter what, at some point in the process, they're going to get your order wrong. Whether it's when you're placing the order and you have to correct them, coming up to the payment window and they're trying to charge you for someone else's order, or getting the order incorrect once you finally get it, as in you order no pickles but it has pickles. In the past it was worse. There were times every point in the process was messed up. Over the past year or two it has gradually gotten better so that it is only one portion....but it still happens. Although, I have to admit the one time I ordered only two fries they did get that one right.
The place is always clean, and the process is not quite so bad when you're inside....I think it's because they can hear you better in person and you can't screw up charging for someone else's order in that situation. Unfortunately, quite often the food is still screwed up, unless you order something simple.
The problem, in my opinion, is the workers just don't care about the product or the customer. Yes, there are a couple, but it's not everyone. Now, I will say that it seems like a change in management is when this place started to improve. I don't remember the name of the lady who used to be the manager, but one of the new ladies is named Kat. She seems like she genuinely cares about the customer, the product, and getting things right. I believe she's been the driving force for improvement. I'm not sure why they're not a 5 star rating capable store yet, though. It's possible there's just too much personnel turnover, or perhaps upper management is micromanaging. Either way, if something goes wrong, you can rest assured Kat will make it right if she's on duty. I just hope she can get the rest of the crews straightened out.
If you're in a hurry and need a small order, go inside and you can make sure it's correct right away. Otherwise, take your chances at the drive thru and probably wind up with an...

Got are orders mixed up. The younge man in first window was very apologetic. Second window handed me two drinks no straws.I say to him excuse me but ya forgot my grandsons drink. He started giving me the food that belonged to car behind me. YEP!! Please pull forward is what I got.As she pulls up to window gets her food an drives off. They bring me two bags. I said ty. My Grandson was upset ..no drink an no dips.So I called them.Spoke to a Young man.Told him about problems he says too Me ,If I wanted to come back up .I said I live 6 miles out of town an food will get cold. He said he will make it right..So I drove there an even went inside. The younge man at counter asked if he could help me I told him I spoke to someone on the phone. This Man in blue shirt says Me with his back to me.Than precided with fixing icecream maker. Approx 4 min.Than goes to register rings up something, Still No 1 Word to Me. I asked the other guy could I please have the cup for the drink. The Man in blue shirt goes over to where fries are an yells someone's name to hurry up with the nuggets. Than hands me a sack,Says here's one of each! ( 1 box of nuggets an a cold old fries an some Dips.An walks away....I stood there looking dumb. He sees me still standing there an asked ..Yes..𤨠I said I purchase a 15.00 bundle with lots of sauces 2 lg drinks a Happy meal with Drink. He Yells to me..You want me to replace everything cuz we forgot your sauces...Not Nicely either!!! I walked out got into my car.
