This place honestly deserves a 5 star for the quality of their food. However I cannot in good conscience give them a 5 star although I absolutely love their food because they do not cooperate well with door dash. The liver and onions is my favorite meal and it's on the menu for a great price, however I live all the way across town. Not very convenient, thankfully door dash exists, however what I want although I've ordered it with door dash many times before 11am (lunch time) was said to have not been available to me today, i tried calling and absolutely nobody picks up the phone here and when you mention it to them their excuse is "oh we are too busy" so is every other restaurant around but they still give a better effort to get to their phones. I personally feel like Riverside cafe doesn't even bother and just took their phones off the hook because when I call the phone doesn't actually ring. 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Anyways the only other thing to do was cancel my order with door dash and receive a partial refund. Can't exactly say I'm very thrilled with that. I wanted to really make a point so I drove across town and ordered the exact same thing I ordered on door dash not even 20 min after placing my order with door dash at 9amish. I received what I ordered no issue, so why is it I cannot get someone to make the same order and have it delivered to me, why do I have to drive across town to make a point? I noticed on both the door dash menu as well as the menu I received in the cafe is that liver and onions is on the menu and nowhere on there does it say unavailable till 11am. If you have it on the menu then your customers should absolutely be able to order it. Please remedy this. Next time I order I hope you guys will fill my order because I absolutely know now that you don't have an excuse not to (other than we are out of that item) also please hook your phones back up it really is bad for...
Read moreMy wife, son, and I tried Riverside Cafe for the first time. It had an old fashion feel to the interior. The target crowd appeared to be the older set. The wait staff was very friendly. I asked our server what they were known for. She was helpful and gave me 5 suggestions. I ordered the Beef Philly. It came with soup and 1 side. I chose White Chili and Mac & Cheese. Some of the beef in the sandwich was a little on the dry side but the melted swiss helped. It also had mushrooms and diced peppers. The hoagie bun was nice and soft. The Mac & Cheese was homemade and absolutely delicious. I could have made that my entire lunch. The White Chili had large chunks of chicken and a balanced taste that was very enjoyable. My wife and son ordered the White Chili as well. My wife ordered the Breaded Tenderloin. It was the size of a saucer and 1/2 an inch thick. She was pleased with the flavor and the crispness. She ordered the fries for her side. They were fresh and good but she would probably order something else next time. My son ordered the Pot Roast Sandwich. It was served on a soft hoagie bun with large chunks of beef and a good amount of brown gravy. The smell and taste reminded you of Sunday dinner. He ordered onion rings as his side. He was served a large order that were crisp and delicious. All three of our meals were priced at $6.99 ( my son received a 10% discount as a BSU student) which is an incredible price point considering the amount of food we were served. We would definitely eat...

Prices were good for quantity, and delivery okay during a large 12-15 size party. The welcome took a bit, 5-6 minutes to be addressed despite there being no business. The waitress rambled a bit to other customers and I, and she held the plates close enough to themself I think the shirt was touching the food. There was check-ins, and water refills.
The cafe wasn't busy, nor the prices high. I understand watering eggs, or letting them steam a bit, but why water the eggs so much??? It might help to make sure it's cooked, but the pulled-in so much water they were oozing of water. The onion rings were typical, and big but not good. The burger was good. The bacon, sausage links, and cheese was minimal too. American cheese. The bacon was common cook method. The sausage links...heated and a bit nice of spice...but there wasn't any distinct cooking again. The french toast tasted hommemade or even so perfect to not be soft. Its texture was like normal bread, not toasted or cooked of any sort. Overall, I forced myself to eat with the sausage links and yolks itself being nice ending to my meal. I'm not sure why I'd come back especially it all being $27...
