El MONTE MEXICAN FOOD — Restaurant in Murfreesboro

I was extremely excited to see a drive through Mexican spot in Murfreesboro. This is extremely convenient. I’m not sure if management has changed since January 2021. However, this place has severely went down. Today, I got 25.00 worth of food. My cheese dip wasted in the bag and to top it off half of the food was missing. For the prices, portion control should not be a concern. I can walk into a local Mexican restaurant such as Nachos and get the exact item and it’s more food, same price, and it’s flavorful. So, after driving all the way home and seeing this I call. The girl was sweet and said oh bring it back. I arrive and show them the mess and they said oh we will fix it. Then the manager comes up and gives me the replacement food and have this nasty attitude because I talked about the lack of portion for the price. Instead of being nice and apologetic about all I went through coming back and all he said. “Oh, I’ll give you more food this time. But this is the amount we serve.” Sir, you don’t have to ever worry about me anymore. Don’t waste your time Murfreesboro family. You’re better off just calling in a to go order and actually get some quality food. This is definitely like eating McDonald’s of the Mexican restaurant chain. Such a disappointment! I will never return. I am completely offended!

Update: The food made us so sick!!!...

I order from here at least once a month, always order the same thing & the food is great. Never had an issue. Until this morning. I ordered my usual last night for dinner, ordered online for pick up, of course it charges your card as soon as you place the order. Then this morning they turn around and charge my card AGAIN for the order I had last night after I had already paid the first time. So I call to handle the matter & was told they weren't sure why it charged my card twice, I told them that I could come up there & show them where it charged my card twice. I receive texts & e-mails when my bank card is charged. The girl assured me that she believed me but she would have to call me back, took my number & name down & I was told she would have to contact the boss. I'm sorry but for situations like this, it should be taken a little more seriously when it comes to people's money. I was told that I could come in a different day, I'm sorry what? A different day? No mam. Y'all made an unauthorized charge on my card for almost $20. It needs to be fixed the same day as the issue. This has never happened before so obviously someone did something or something had to have happened for me to get charged twice in 2 different days. This is unacceptable. I won't be ordering online anymore from this...

This place was great. Tried it out for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Its definitely needed in the boro. The dishes are fairly priced and the staff are very friendly. I will be going back in the near future!

Edit: I still visit this establishment every so often. Ordered a to-go order that was supposed to be shredded chicken nachos and it ended up being chicken chunks. I didn't check it before I left. It's highly disappointing bc its literally chicken on some chips with a little bit of queso. I wanted the shredded chicken bc it has the peppers and stuff in it. I live too far away to go back today. At least they remembered the Pico! Always double check...
