It pains me to say anything negative about Just Love. I like it and have been coming for years. I'm also aware that Covid has made it hard for all restaurants. But the quality has deteriorated in several regards.

Most importantly, the coffee at my last visit was horrible. So sour I had to doctor it significantly just to get it down. Gack. Wasn't just me--everyone in my group had the same reaction. We wanted to ask for a do-over, but there was a big line and already a lot of stress and chaos with the baristas, and we had no time to wait. I think the beans were not fresh, and the "cook" temperature was too hot.

If you are a lover of dark coffee, a lá espresso, this is not the place for you. Just Love is all about medium blondish roasts. No dark roasts at all.

Then, some of the food was disappointing. The waffles and potato tot waffles were delicious as usual. But beware the breakfast burrito. I know I know... why get a burrito at a waffle place... yet I did. All ingredients were straight from a can, including the wrapping, which was microwaved into cement. I wished I had gotten a waffle.

Some other things have changed, and not necessarily for the better. The price has remained the same (or slightly higher), but the portion sizes have been cut in half. Good for my health, but not for my wallet. No more whole waffle, only a half, if that.

Also they've switched to all plastic disposable silverware in plastic bags. Why? More cost effective? But I feel bad sending so much unnecessary plastic to the the landfill.

I will give it a try again in a few weeks, but am not expecting a change since everyone else seems to...

The food and coffee is great. But, the experience here used to be a lot better. Personally I liked the old decor better with the roll up notes wall, but of course that’s not a big deal. What’s been bothering me for the past year or so is that every time I go, they never get my order right. I always ask for a classic club sandwich with no ham or bacon. Every time, my sandwich comes out with either ham or bacon or both. One time, I sent it back and all they did was remove the bacon instead of remake it. They left a piece of bacon in the sandwich when they brought it back to me. I can’t have pork at all including any grease or residue, so I couldn’t eat it. I sent it back and just asked for a refund, I did not want to risk them just taking that piece off and giving me the same sandwich again. I still kept going back and just ordering something else that doesn’t originally come with pork or I would only get coffee. Today, about a year later, I decided to order the classic club thinking they wouldn’t make that mistake again. Unfortunately, it was brought out with the ham, so I sent it back and asked for a completely different item as to not risk them just removing the ham and giving me the same sandwich with the pork residue. It may not seem like a big deal but it is a huge deal and risk to anyone with dietary restrictions due to allergies or religious beliefs. Hi, this is my second time at this location and this is absolutely ridiculous. I paid $50 for 2 meals and coffees and it’s been nearly an hour waiting for it. It’s literally just eggs and waffles and bacon. There are 3 chefs in the back & 1 person just hanging out back there. I work in the food industry and I can’t understand what is taking so long. It’s literally a waffle maker and some eggs. I have paid for 2 additional drinks while waiting for our food and will probly be buying another just so I have something to drink when we do finally get our food. It’s Mother’s Day weekend yes but this place is NOT busy. There hasn’t been a line in the entire hour we’ve been here. Your staff needs more training and professionalism. They seem clueless and are just hanging out. $50 is way too much money to be spending for the type of food and service we are getting. Or in our case not getting.

My husband approached the counter at 50 minutes and our food was “ready” and sitting in the back. Completely cold while your staff is just hanging out. The cheese in the eggs wasn’t even melted and again everything was cold. When our food was delivered to us we were the only ones left in the restaurant. This is absolutely ridiculous.
