Well, looking at reviews to date (Sunday 2nd July, '23) I thought I'd check it out after visiting Grandma's after church, I saw some, kinda harsh comments.
It's super easy to find if you know where the new Kroger is on the right as you head out of town on HW 96 towards Franklin. It's right across Kroger on the left.
BUT DON'T DO WHAT I DID! You have to watch traffic and look for signs - so I started across traffic on the end of the right building - only to discover after being fully committed, that it was a entrance & exit for westbound 96 traffic.
Try this... In this commercial park, there are two buildings and the entrance is inbetween. The leftmost of the left building is Redstone Federal Credit Union and Teriyaki Madness is the rightmost of the right building. Easy Peasy. Plenty of parking and no trouble to find as long as you come in between the two buildings.
ā Now as to the current Google rating my I say... It's a new place, it takes a minute to work the kinks out. I would hope others were patient with me in a new business of mine so I will pay it forward. The person taking my order nearly fell over himself proactively apologizing for the length of wait - which never manifested.
I had maybe a few minutes to wait after getting my drink, finding a table and getting my napkins and plasticware. I want to address the service, I think I was twice contacted while eating in the dining area. The most notable was the gentleman taking the order coming out to ask me was the food worth the wait. I thought "Wait? What wait, there really wasn't one so to speak."
āāAs for the food. I chose the "spicy š„ chicken š" over rice, base bowl with no noodle upgrades served piping hot. (If anyone following me knows, I'm a bit picky with cold/cooling down food.) See the video. Watch the steam!
The bowl is generous in what it think is the typical steamed commercial rice. It was neither dry, chewy or overly clumpy. The chicken was tasty but I didn't think it was "spicy" at all. And there was just enough broccoli and cabbage to make the presentation great.
I don't like seeing a place beat up as they get a new location underway - nor perfect scores, so, I did withhold a single star for a little disquieting, never relenting bump, thump, hump, bump, noise I couldn't quite locate. It was somewhere between the sound of a monotous disco baseline and a trailer tire out of round. It's a new building so maybe it's a rooftop HVAC unit out of balance. So please consider that as opinion, and that I am drilling down deep in a review of a brand new place.
I would like to recommend you give them an opportunity to earn your lunch and dinner business, take away...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI placed a pick up order an hour from when we wanted to pick it up. I arrived on time and was told that my order was still in the kitchen. OK, so I stood back to wait like the 5 other customers waiting for their order. Fifteen minutes later, the cook placed a few bowls ready to be packed in the to-go bags, and I thought, OK my order is next. Then a lady comes in and says she had picked up an order with incorrect items. The person taking orders looked at the lady's receipt, grabbed the stack of bowls that had just been finished, took 2 of those bowls, gave them to the lady and then nothing else was done and she didn't call anyone for the order that she'd scalped. So another 15 minutes goes by, 30 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready, and I ask about my order. She looks at the receipt for the order she'd scalped, went back into the kitchen to talk to the cooks, and tells me that my order will be a few more minutes. I asked for a refund since we could not wait any longer (my kid has type 1 so his blood sugar was dropping and they had 10 other orders in the make) and she processed my refund and said it should appear in my account within 24 hours. Well, it's been 4 days and no refund. I can't email them, and when I try to call them, their phone is off. Since they're a new business, I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again in a couple months when they've found their feet, but I am out $55 for an order I never received. DO NOT ORDER HERE. It...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered take out from here twice, once on the Saturday after grand opening and once again yesterday. After the first order being OK, we wanted to try again after the restaurant had a chance to get the kinks worked out. For our first order, as others have mentioned, the order was not ready on time, it was ready 30 minutes after and the staff didn't seem to care. It was understandable that the place was so busy following a grand opening - I didn't think anything of it at the time. But the food tasted old - as if it had been sitting for hours, which didn't make sense since they were so busy.
For our most recent order, it was not very busy and it was not ready on time. We were told it would be 15-20 minutes longer, which it was, and the staff again didn't have a great attitude. After getting home the chicken tasted off, and the noodles were hard like they hadn't been cooked all the way or were day-old.
Between the staff seemingly not caring that the orders are always delayed, and the food being bad - I wouldn't recommend this - I'd spend more on gas and drive further into Murfreesboro to pay more somewhere else for quality food...
