Kroger — Local services in Murfreesboro

This is one of the nicest krogers I've ever seen and as a life long kroger fan, I'm sad to say that I can't wait for the Publix to open down the street.

Kroger just keeps showing me that they don't want me here. I'm a late night shopper and understand that they close now. But I'm also an adult and don't need to be reminded every 3 minutes that you close at 10. And it's not even polite. At 940 I'm ordered to bring my cart to the front if it's a big cart. And when I get there and ask for a cashier, I'm rudely told this is why they said to come up. I did come up when they said and there's no cashier. You have to go through the self checkout anytime after 940 apparently. But to hear at 945, 948, 950 and all the other times to come to the front because we're closing is way too annoying They could even automate the message to play every 15 minutes with a pleasant reminder and it wouldn't be as bad.

It's really disappointing to be treated this way. And I know this has to be a corporate policy because I just moved from Nashville and they did it there as well. I've never been a fan of Publix having grown up in middle Tennessee and formerly working for kroger. But they're seriously turning me into a Publix fan.

I can only hope that someone in corporate or someone able to enact policy changes will see this and reevaluate their strategy.

1-29-2024 update: I was running in for a couple of things and was yelled at from the other end of an aisle by an employee that they were closing in a few minutes and I needed to go to the front. I cannot...

I’ve had enough of the disrespect. I have forgiven being treated like a thief twice... once when having my receipt checked when exiting by Starbucks while an employee with groceries preceded me without inspection. The second, when they failed to fully complete a curbside order but charged me for everything, nonetheless. When I came into the store to show the receipt and explain their mistake, they acted as if I were lying to sneak an extra item. This whole conversation was in front a Rutherford County Sheriff‘s deputy. As if I would enter some elaborate ruse over a six pack of O’Doul’s in front of the law. For those of you who don’t know, oh duels doesn’t even have alcohol. Despite this, I have continue to spend around $700 a month For my family’s groceries.Today I wanted to pick up three items and the self check out line had about 12 customers and, as usual, the registers were understaffed. The lady At the customer counter had just finished checking out someone with a couple of items and had no more customers. I asked her to check out the three items I wanted to buy and she told me that she couldn’t unless I was buying something behind the counter. I understand that they want to keep the line clear for cigarette purchasers, but there was no one there and she was not doing anything. This location USED to be my absolute FAV store even with minor flaws but who can’t overlook some things? So Monday, September 9, 2024, I placed a pick up order at 9 am and wanted the pick up at 5-6…. I get a call at 4:06 pm saying my order would not be ready until 7pm… so I did other stuff… pulled up at 7 to pick up order and 5 minutes later here come this worker to the car to tell me my order won’t be ready until 8 pm… I told him I needed it now because I was about to go home, I been out all day , am handicapped and once I am in the house I’m in… he said we’ll come pick it up in the morning. I told him I couldn’t do that either. So he was like we’ll just cancel the order then. I said OK. I told him I know they are not that busy that they couldn’t have had my order ready and it was not a big order. He said actually we have been that busy! Okay so what is another hour gonna do that they delayed 2 hours didn’t???? And why is there never a delay on drafting the bill amount from ur card for payment? BUT ANOTHER delay in getting money put back on the card… then talking bout it being 3-7 days before it is back on ur card… it didn’t take 3-7 days for u to draft it away from my card!!!
