Shaffer Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Murray

We were students at Murray State University and Shaffer was always our favorite place to go for a fun morning in between classes or to go on the weekends. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting, it makes for a cozy hangout or work place. The staff is the best—so friendly and welcoming. Best coffee we have ever had. We have now moved away and living in a Major city but still talk about Shaffer being the best coffee shop we have ever been to! You can tell they put a lot of care and effort into their drinks and bakery goods. I’ve heard that the syrups they make themselves so they taste way better than some coffee shops that just use the generic syrup brands. We would always love trying the seasonal drinks they have. This place exemplifies why I hate leaving a tip before I recieve my order. I was 15 minutes into my wait to be told they were out of the bean I ordered, when my pour over was finally finished it was a 12oz not the 16oz I paid for. It was luke warm missing the cream and sugar I ordered. Others with me also had coffee missing cream and sugar. If you purchase any of the bottle juices besure to check the expiration date. The reason I’m leaving a one star review isn’t because of the person who took my order. I’m leaving a one star review because I ordered a chocolate chip waffle and waited twenty minutes until I asked what happened to my waffle. In which the waffle I ordered was completely forgot about. It wasn’t like they were packed or anything either because they only had six people in there. Then when they brought it out, they brought a peanut butter banana waffle which isn’t what I ordered.
