UPDATE:
We decided to give First Watch a second chance even though we had a bad experience on January 16th. The service and food was tremendously better. On this busy President's Day morning, our coffee and orange juice arrived quickly and our server checked on us frequently. I ordered the Works omelet with greens and my wife ordered pancakes. The food tasted great and at the proper temperature too. We had a great experience and will definitely come back for breakfast again.
In short: Dirty, bad food, and bad service. We decided to give First Watch a second chance even though we had a bad experience on January 16th. The service and food was tremendously better. On this busy President's Day morning, our beverages arrived quickly and our server checked on us frequently. The food tasted great and at the proper temperature too. We had a great experience and will definitely come back for breakfast We came here for the first time on January 16th. We chose First Watch due to the great reviews online. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience here. Shortly after being seated, I saw that one of the coffee cups at our table was dirty. I was looking forward to having coffee, but just ordered juice instead once they took our order. While we reviewed the menus, we noticed others who were seated after us were being served their beverages before us. Seemed like we sat there for at least 5 minutes before someone took our drink order. We did not enjoy the feeling that we were being ignored and considered leaving at that point. I ended up ordering the "Chickichanga" and my wife ordered the "traditional" breakfast. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. My first bite of the "Chickichanga" was very very disappointing. The egg part was kind of warm and filling was literally cooler than room temperature. What comes to mind is like they had the filling sitting in the fridge right before they wrapped it in the eggs, poured sauce on it, and serving it. My side of potatoes and fresh fruit were fine. I ended up asking for a new one, which arrived 15 minutes later. This new one was nice and hot, but the potatoes were undercooked. Very annoyed at this point. My wife's meal arrived overcooked, specifically the bacon and potatoes side dishes. A restaurant that focuses on breakfast thru lunch and can't cook bacon properly is unbelievably disappointing. But, she did enjoy the toast and eggs. We're not the "Let me speak to the manager!" type. We ate and left as soon as we could.
We will never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst Watch in Murrysville, PA is a fantastic spot for breakfast and brunch, with a clear focus on fresh, farm-to-table ingredients. This was my first visit, but my dining companion, a regular, often raves about the consistently excellent food and serviceāand I can see why.
Our server, Maya, was attentive and friendly, making my first experience here a pleasant one. She checked in promptly, offered helpful recommendations, and accommodated our requests without hesitation. The customer service definitely deserves 5 stars!
The ambiance is modern yet cozy, with wood accents and exposed brick creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The open, airy layout makes it a perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal.
The menu offers a great range of breakfast and lunch options, from classics like the Salmon & Veggie Frittata (I initially thought the frittata was an omelet!) and Belgian Waffles to unique items like the Morning Market Veggie omelet. My companion added smoked salmon to their veggie dish, which they said was a delicious enhancement. The food was delivered quickly and, whether it was an omelet or frittata, each dish was perfectly preparedāanother 5-star rating in my book.
The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The Salmon & Veggie Frittata was $13.49, and the Belgian Waffle was $10.29āhearty and satisfying meals, though the single waffle felt a touch pricey. The Morning Market Veg with added smoked salmon totaled $15.28.
First Watchās dedication to fresh, flavorful ingredients really shines through. Every bite was vibrant and delicious. Itās easy to see why my companion keeps coming backāFirst Watch truly provides a wonderful dining experience.
Iāll definitely return to explore more of their menu. If you're in Murrysville and looking for a healthy, tasty breakfast or brunch spot, I highly recommend giving First...
