I usually use the drive thru at Starbucks. English is my second language and I can't stress every word like a native English speaker, but how can I say napkin or latte differently, no matter how different my accent is? I can't think of a person who has never met a person whose second language is English in a place like America. Even there is why do I have to peel 1 napkin 5 times? Should they struggle a little to understand? I am writing for this shop, but it is a situation that I come across very often in other shops. How can I pronounce a latte with an accent? latte just lattes. I think they're starting to do it now. I placed an order again yesterday and his microphone is obviously far from his mouth because his voice was too low. I placed my order with great difficulty, while taking the coffee, I told the officer that his voice was really low and he immediately apologized. I started the same sentence 3 or 4 times and he always apologized. I'm not saying this to make him apologize. Please don't apologize, I'm just trying to tell you that you need to put your microphone up to your mouth. apology doesn't solve that problem, i'm not saying it to apologize. a technical problem. maybe... it's so natural. I am saying this to find a solution to the problem. He apologizes to me because he doesn't bother to listen to me. he probably said something to apologize if a customer complains to him.. Everyone has watched the movie forest gump. they told him to run, he always ran. sometimes I feel like there's a lot of forest gump in front of me and I'm trying to tell him something. I am not able to chat. I don't want to take their time.. still there are 3 starbucks that i stop by all the time. this branch is the fastest and in my...
Read moreStarbucks# 2nd time order was messed up. Murrysville Starbucks couldn’t seem to get any part of the order correct. Order placed at drive through… When my order was brought home it had no whip, no caramel ribbon crunch no extra espresso. There was no name on it and no sticker on the cup.
Called to get a refund and they wasted 15 minutes going back and forth between the girl who answered, girl at the register, whomever took the order, made the order, worked the window and whomever else they could waste our time with. After which they said they couldn’t find the order at all. Then the little hint of “maybe you ordered it wrong - look at the sticker on the cup- which didn’t exist. Not even a name on the cup. Finally we got “The girl at the window doesn’t remember the order”
Asked to speak with the manager, Kim, who said our only option was to drive back to Murrysville #starbucks, a 45 min trip for us to go there - order- come back for a drink they messed up. They could not refund the card, give us app credit, nor an option to use at any...
Read moreA smaller Starbucks than many others, but they've made decent use of the space. 4 lounge chairs and 3 smaller tables in the main area, and a display shelf segments off a row of bench and chair tables for those camping out for work and school, all but the lounge chairs have ample power charging options.
Their drive thru is quite busy while sometimes the inside is quiet, usually the school drop off crowd, so if don't mind exiting the vehicle, it's often useful to pick up in store than drive thru when the line is long.
They have a lot of staff who have been around a while, and offer a very stable experience, they know their drinks and get them right. The regular baristas are really good about sincere friendliness and getting to know their regular customers.
The noise level is busy, but not so obnoxious that you can't think straight, and the environment is well maintained, they don't try to drive their people out with temperature control. Bathrooms are always well kept. Any problems are quickly and...
