So… Dockers. Great venue. They had this AWESOME band named ā€œKlay in the MUDā€ and they absolutely rocked the place. People were laughing singing along and dancing in front of the stage to the music. It just went well! I was very pleased with the atmosphere. 20 out of 10. The drinks; I had decided to try to start ordering Old Fashioneds when I go places because they seem to be a pretty standard drink and I’d figure out who in town has the best one, maybe? Anyways, when my drink was brought to me… it had so much pulp and chewys from the orange slice/peel that I wasn’t even able to finish it. Didn’t care too. Then I also had made the mistake of ordering one without looking at the menu, as that single drink that I didn’t even enjoy much… well it was $12. I understand old fashioneds aren’t meant to be cheap drinks or anything, but idk maybe the bartender was having a bad day or something. Or that’s just how the drinks actually are. Either way, docked a star for this reason alone. Every other time I’ve been here, I’ve left just feeling kinda… meh. Nothing too special for what you pay to eat and/or drink there. So, during those cool event times I could understand the pricing. Otherwise, I just don’t get it. I’ll only go again if Klay n the Mud is there again or other talents I hear of are there. OR if someone else I’m meeting with request we go there over somewhere else. On a positive note, they got this really cool shark as seen in the pictures attached and beautiful views from the patio there. Great for some quick pics to capture a date night out.

Stopped in for opening season of 2024. Atmosphere: Both inside and outside is warm and inviting. Especially when there's a band playing! We started the evening on the deck, but the cooling weather drove us inside. Service: the staff was great and very attentive to our needs. Lauren was our server for the evening. She found us a great window seat and checked in on us regularly. Food: Food was excellent! The *Fish and Chips* was perfectly cooked, perfect fries, and arguably the best tartar sauce I've ever had with fish and chips! Drinks: As someone who doesn't drink anymore, Docker's has a "If You're Not Drinking" section. It's a selection of hand crafted mocktails. I really appreciate this section and would like to see other business offer likewise! If you are a drinker, don't worry, there's a full bar and menu. It was a great opening day and experience and I look forward to more warm summer evenings spent at Dockers!

To start, the location of the place is perfect! We brought out boat from Grand Haven for dinner. When we arrived, everything was good. They were busy and there was a bit of a wait but our bartender was very attentive and quick to check on us while we waited. When we were seated, everything was going well. We ordered appetizers, which came to the table quickly and were delicious. This is where it went wrong... we ordered dinner and waited over an hour to get our food, but only after speaking to the manager. They seemed to be quick at making excuses and did what they could to appease us. I am sure we will return only because they have the benefit of being one of a very short list of restaurants that cater to the boating community like this. Hopefully your experience is better than ours was.

Wow! I visited the restaurant on either the 6th of 7th of July, 2022…Best experience by far at Docker’s! Not only was the service that myself, my husband, our two kids and my brother-in-law, by far the best service that we have ever had at Docker’s, but our server, Eric (man with long hair), was beyond exceptional! At one point, I counted 5 other tables that he was serving at the time right around us under the shade, yet, he greeted us at the table and introduced himself about 20 seconds after we sat down. He showed up to the table with waters for everyone (including for the kids—Which came with lids on top of them thank god!). He proceeded to take our drink order (the adults), and had all of our alcohol drinks at the table within 1 & 1/2 minutes after telling him what we would like! Very impressive compared to the service we have received lately by some other servers who were unable to answer questions without going to the kitchen to ask the chef. He knew right off the bat that the Salmon Old Bay was a gluten free dish, explained what came with it, and that really impressed me! Everyone at the table had a question about different menu items, and without a thought or stutter, he answered them quickly, and as it turns out, his answers were spot on! He was able to recommend drinks for us based on our initial drink order; All of which we loved more than the previous! We did have sort of an obnoxious order because we made so many changes, however, he assured us that he could make it happen! 8 minutes later, Eric showed up to our table, appetizers in hand! Talk about fast! Hats off to the kitchen for that one as well! As our apps were being placed at the table, Eric made sure that everything came out perfectly. He took our entrĆ©e orders a few minutes before the appetizers arrived, cleared appetizer plates as they were finished, kept both our waters, as well as our alcoholic drinks full at all times..which is rare in any restaurants!! The food came out EXACTLY how we ordered it (and we had some very needy requests)! To make it better, the food was absolutely amazing! By the end of our meals, our plates were gone from the table as soon as they were finished. He even talked us into one more drink, a couple of shakes for the kids, and a Key Lime Pie for the adults to split. The best part (to me), was that it didn’t seem like he was ā€œwaiting on us hand and footā€ even though we were difficult with our orders! It seemed genuine, informational, and ā€œrealā€..if that makes sense… Food: āļø āļøāļøāļøāļø Atmosphere: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Service: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Friendliness: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Server Knowledge: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļø We will be coming back soon and requesting Eric. I only hope he is working next time we come! Great Job, Eric! Great Job, Kitchen! Great Job, Dockers!!!! We had a fabulous time thanks to our easy to talk to server, as well as the excellent food! Yum! Recommendation: Try Docker’s as soon as you can! You won’t be...

This was my 1st time at Dockers and I was disappointed. The location and atmosphere were good, despite the front door being blocked by a semi trailer and having no lights in the front whatsoever, which made for an adventurous walk back to the car. Not sure why you would have a sandy area to sit in only to have 6 inch rocks inhibit the traverse thereof, but there were a few things not well thought out. The service was absolutely terrible. We waited for our 4 waters which came in maybe 6 ounce portions, and then waited some more for 3 tiny lemon slices... not four. We were seated for a little over 2 hours and our server only filled the water glasses twice, despite us asking repeatedly for more. The waiter didn’t have any idea what was on the menu, and had never eaten any of the seafood, so he recommended the chicken... (so much for Dockers being the Premier seafood place in the Muskegon area)

Our Nacho appetizer was dismal. It consisted of a tiny portion of stale round corn chips with about 1/3 the condiments that it should’ve had. I’d liken it to an after school snack microwaved by a Junior High boy who was told not to eat anything before dinner. After another long, dry wait they came with the entrees. The frites were very good, but the steak was a poor cut and ridiculously overcooked, they should have made boots out of it. We sent it back and it’s recipient waited until all the rest of the food was gone and the plates were vacated before receiving her meal, without an apology, a discount, or a visit from management. It was appalling. My wife got the paella, which was decent despite not being served with crusty Italian bread as is custom. My friend got the lobster and crab mac & cheese, which was wonderful. My $34 bought me 3 scallops and a quarter portion of fried risotto. The scallops were supposed to be seared, but were not. The risotto was very good, it is what earned the 2nd star in a 1 star dining experience. In the end, our mostly absent server was in a big hurry to get us out the door, which he didn’t need to be, because the mosquitoes were bringing the patio party to an abrupt halt.

Perhaps they live music and alcohol keep the doors open, but I would not recommend the dining experience. They definitely need better service...

Not a good experience. Food ok but ridiculously overpriced. especially since there were numerous scew ups. First ..Hostess.. asked where we wanted to sit, so since first time there, I strolled thru. She said no to area in sand .. which 3yr old would love... it is closing soon( it was 6:30pm); no to 2nd requst as she cant put tables together for our party in that section; no to 3rd request as she cant lower one umbrella to pull 2 tables together...but anywhere else..I said so you tell me what is available for party of 5. ?I said that sentence 3x. Ok finally a large seating arrangement on back deck near door to kitchen. Drink order placed and water requested. 10 min later.. one beer choice not available..ok order another. Drinkz come I request a glass and am given a hot glass( for canned beer and lime slice). still very warm to touch as straight from dishwasher.. Ok I chill it with my ice water. 30 min later, after we found a toddler seat for 3yr old and a bowl for dog resting under table and brought over to our table a pitcher of ice water.. we ask waiter about appetizer order.. He returns in 10 min to say the shrimp has gone bad so not available.. we say ok...10 min later he comes to table to tell one of our party that conch ( mis-pronounced) fritters not available .So we add another fish sandwhich . 10 min later one of three fish sandwich ordered, arrives. But not others. He explains single order comes faster so one of us got it.We say.. well cant you bring the toddler's meal now and the 2 bowls of clam chowder? He apologizes profusely but still we wait and I eat the sandwich and 3 yr old eats the chips. Stops and asks if we want more drinks.. no we we want toddler meal and soup. He says it coming right now. It is 8pm now. Bill is $137 for 4 canned 9beers, one lemonade, 4 sanwhiches, 2 bowls of soup, one lobster fondue and one toddler meal.My son tips young waiter very well since he was apologetic, but I will never go there again, even though we would love to sail from White Lake and dock and dine there. Poorly trained staff, poorly...
