MyPlace Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Muskogee

I ate the all you can eat buffett. It was okay and if you just have to have BBQ, well, I suppose that it will work. However......... I bought some food to take home to my husband for supper and I didn't check the bag before I left. The ribs were burnt, so completely burnt that i couldn't chew it. I mean that when I took that crispy chunk of meat and tried to peel it off, it broke with the bone and was just as hard. On to the sides...........you know when you order a side of anything to take home? Like, if you order a dinner then you would expect those sides to be in a carton with the rest of the meal and would also expect it to be a dinner sized portion? Well, I ordered these ribs and other meat then I ordered the sides to go with it, this was no dinner. The portion that they sent was NOT the typical PINT sized portion, IT WAS A DINNER PORTION FOR ONE PERSON!!!!!!! Oh, hahhhahhahahhahahaha, and the BBQ, hahhahahaha they sent 11 itty bitty cups of sauce.... this is ELEVEN cups, of 1 ounce portions of sauce. Here's the deal, everything that I took home was what I also ate at the bar for $15.49 plus tax. But I paid $47.93 for the take...

It was definitely "our place" for a family dinner out. The food was outstanding. The Meat, was the main attraction for the 5 of us. The bins of various kinds of tender sauced, un-sauced, sliced, chopped,beef, pork , ribs and more emptied quickly. Too quickly. Sometimes too quick to even race up with your plate, what was spotted on another's. There were multiple families experiencing the same fun frustrated desire that night. We benefited from the group atmosphere; reacting to the cry of Bologna is here- with a plate in the air, "me please '. Not to be bested, the desserts we shared were equally A+, as well as everything else we managed to try on the salad and sides bar . The fact that it is a small buffet should be noted. That night, the crowd seemed too large for the kitchen to keep up with on all counts. The tables didn't get bused, allowing dirty plates to pile up. Although beverages are served in extra large glasses - refills were not offered until we were all but 2, finished with dinner. It was still good food and we enjoyed all we had - perfectly full and...

Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. This place was like Spidey, amazing, and so too was Amanda. First of all, the food is not only both luscious and delectable but also bottomless. And it's not only what's out on the hot table which they keep freshened frequently, but if it's on the menu, they'll make it fresh and bring it to you, all inclusive - yes, even the dessert, and there's a considerable assortment from which to choose. The drink is extra, but soft drinks as well are bottomless.

I can't say whether all the staff were stand up quality comedians, as was Amanda - remember Amanda? She was amazing - but everyone had a disposition as sweet as the bbq sauce in the mustard squeeze bottle. It's worth mentioning that they have three different flavors of sauce from which to choose.

I'll be goin' back frequently 'cause it hits on all cylinders: spectacular service, scrumptious cuisine, and a price that makes the argument to go to many other restaurants in Muskogee, not just BBQ joints,...
