We recently started shopping with DeVeglioâs after we discovered they have the best fresh pasta in the area - hands down. Weâve tried their Italian deli meats as well and have been very impressed with the availability and quality of our familyâs favorites like Mortadella and Guanciale (if youâre a charcuterie aficionado, you must drop in to pick up freshly sliced meats and cheese - huge improvement from your usual prepackaged prosciutto etc.).
For a birthday party, we decided to use DeVeglioâs catering since weâve been so happy shopping their usual offerings, and we could not have made a better decision. For our group of 10, we ordered: Antipasta, Bruschetta, Rice Balls, Veal Sorrentino, Carbonara (with their homemade Rigatoni Mezzi), and Cannoli.
This was the best pick up catering experience, and as a former Event Planner thatâs saying something. From the start, the owners made great recommendations for what we were trying to accomplish, the prices were beyond reasonable for the wonderful quality and quantity of food, and they made it so easy. Every guest was full by the end of the meal and there was no effort on our end to get folks to take leftovers home (though we would have gladly not shared).
I very highly recommend this shop. Whether youâre cooking for two or catering for 10, DeVeglioâs will give you a little Italian luxury any time you want.

Read moreLet me tell you somethinââas an Italian guy from New York, I know my pasta. I grew up with Sunday sauce simmering on the stove, fresh ravioli from the local Italian deli, and enough garlic to keep the vampires away. So when I found DeVeglioe down here in Myrtle Beach, I nearly lost my mind.
First off, walking in, I got hit with that familiar smell, fresh dough, semolina, maybe a hint of olive oil in the air. Beautiful. The selection? Forget about it! They had fresh pasta, stuffed pastas, sauces that looked like Nonna made âem herself, and even some imported goodies that you just donât find in your average grocery store.
I picked up some fresh fettuccine and their homemade vodka sauce. Let me tell you, when I got home and cooked it upâBOOMâflavor explosion. The pasta had that perfect chew, just like it should. And the sauce? Creamy, rich, a little kick from the tomatoes and the vodkaâbellissimo.
The staff was super friendly too. You can tell they care about what they do, and thatâs what makes a place like this special. If youâre an Italian living in NC (or just someone who appreciates real pasta), do yourself a favor and check this place out. Iâll be back for moreâmaybe some gnocchi next time.
5 stars, no question. Grazie mille, Thank you DeVeglioâs, for bringing a taste of home...
Read moreThis place is phenomenal. The closest thing to tasting Italy as youâre going to get in this area. The owner is extremely sweet and cares about her customers always providing amazing food and customer service. Donât pass this place without going inside and getting yourself some fresh ravioli and some Italian olives. Highly recommend đ¤
Iâd also like to clarify that there are 3 one Review reviews from random initials. Iâm pretty sure I was in the market that day and overheard a woman try to use a âmilitary spouse cardâ To get a discount on her products that she was purchasing, the owner kindly told her that they gladly give out a military discount however, the person serving or who has served has to be present during the purchase time. She was very respectful, and this woman would not let it go is now writing nasty reviews and having other people write them who werenât even present. I just wanted to clarify that for anyone looking specifically one...
