What a great addition to our MI dining scene. Actually, better. More care and detail in every part of our meals that show owners/chef care. You don't find that to this level at most restaurants around here. Our service was as good as it gets. Our server was Andy- started with the warmest greeting, a real smile, and followed through with great knowledge of the menu and keeping perfectly attentive the whole time we dined here. Such a pleasant person. She made our table side guacamole... it was so perfect and flavorful. We tried a couple of their specialty margaritas and they were super tasty. The salmon ceviche was sooo refreshing and on point, didn't need additional seasoning. Blew us away, really. We followed this with Carne Asada- gorgeous, perfectly cooked, juicy and came with a great petite mixed greens salad that had an amazing homemade caesar dressing, homemade corn tortillas and flavorful black beans. A few grilled green onions for garnish and a touch of their extra hot salsa, totally topped it off. We also tried the Camarones al Mojo- huge, perfectly cooked shrimp with garlic, tomatoes and onions with rice. Both meals were outstanding. Couldn't stop here and had the chocolate cake for dessert, which was also homemade and so, so perfect and yummy. All in all, we can wait to return to try more and hopefully have Andy as a server again. Keep up the great work! We felt we got a great value and our service made such a great...
Read moreidk if i’ve ever had service this bad in my whole life. the bartender was our server since we sat literally right next to bar just feet away from him. i’m talking in his peripheral vision at all times could probably hear out conversation close. it wasn’t super busy since it was just a thursday night. he brought us chips but took about twenty minutes to ask us if we wanted drinks and then never took our order. i kept trying to get his attention but i felt like he was actively ignoring us while he served people at the bar. after like 40 minutes i asked the host if we could get our order taken and another server had to do it. our server/bartender never once came to apologize for ignoring us or even ask if we needed anything. finally after an ENTIRE HOUR we get our food and i’m not gonna lie it was bussing i ate it up but definitely not worth being ignored and having to wait an hour. even after we ate we still had to wait over twenty minutes for anyone to come check on us so we could ask for a box. no one offered us any kind of compensation or even an apology. i’m a pretty chill guy so i wouldn’t have really minded if i was given litterally any kind of explanation or apology but we were there for an hour and 45 minutes and no one said anything to us. pretty sure the only reason anyone checked on us to bring the check was cause they were...
Read moreOct 2022, came here because of the reviews and my cousin who just moved down to the area wanted to come here. I really wanted to give this restaurant 5 Stars. So I made a reservation. The inside is large with plenty of booths, and tables, with a bar area. We all sat in a booth that was comfortable. Our Server brought us over chips and three types of salsa. The chips were good, not salty at all. We started with Appetizer, Guacamole Tableside, however we were told they were not preparing the Guacamole tableside. It was pre-made already in their kitchen, so you had to take it the way it came. We all thought it tasted good, and we were happy our Server was upfront about the Guacamole not being made at the table. I ordered the Appetizer, Elote, grilled sweet corn cob toasted with chili aioli that was Horrible. The corn kernels were soggy not plump, so I could tell that the corn cob was not freshly made. Then we had the Carne Asada, Hand cut Prime marinated Ribeye steak. Besides the steak being thin cut, there was too much fat around the edges. My cousin ordered the Mini Chimis, flour tortillas that she liked. All and all, not sure I would visit this restaurant again since there are so many other places to try in SC. But, give the place a try if you like, maybe you will have better...
