Super Taco — Restaurant in Na-Au-Say Township

Our first experience at Super Taco was carryout on a Friday night. We arrived around 7:15pm and there were around 20 customers in the store. We placed our order and waited, and waited, and waited. There were approximately 5 employees on hand so I’m not really sure why they were so backed up. A few customers who arrived after me left after the cashier began estimating a 25-30 minute wait for food.

Finally, 30 minutes later, our order was called—2 burritos and a cup of Mexican corn. We asked for 5 (small, approximately 1 inch tall) cups of salsa each and were told “That’s too many, the best we can do is 2 each.” I asked if we could have 3 each, and after looking like he was enduring the most painful moment of his life, the cashier agreed. Except that when we got home and opened the bag, there were only 5 total salsas. Predictably, we both ran out of salsa before we were even halfway done with our burritos. Now, not having enough salsa wouldn’t be such an issue if I didn’t observe others with similar sized orders receive the amount of salsa that I asked for. Not sure why I was the one singled out.

The food was okay. Tasted good, but not the best Mexican food in the area. The burritos were poorly wrapped and had too many beans and not enough of everything else.

This place is close to home, so we may visit again. But it will never be something we crave or make a...

Honestly this is probably the best place for tacos in Plainfield hands down. Me and my family eat here about 3-4 times a week. But they have really dropped on quality. It really used to be a super taco now it should be called skimpy taco. I went from ordering all four tacos in one to having to split them up to get more meat now you literally get tacos like this. For the money, you should never get a taco that has a ounce of meat in it at best. Sad to say but we may have to find another go to place to eat on the fly if they don’t change the portions back or become more consistent. I rather them raise the price again and keep the quality than raise prices and give you a 1/4 os a taco. As a business owner I get it times are tuff, but $12 on tacos that don’t hit the spot is really tuff. Eventually your profits will feel It just like my pockets do when I have to buy another meal after ordering from Here.

Super taco please turn it around and get back to the old ways. I’d even pay more to have those...

Food is good.. but they really need to put more meat on tacos.. I swear mine had like a tablespoon of meat on them.. I would be willing to pay a little more.. I just want a good taco.. and come on put cheese on them you shouldn't charge extra.. most places give you .. lettuce..tomato ..onion.. cheese and some have cilantro. Don't charge extra for cheese that's silly. I understand extra charge if you want avocado and sour cream...every place does that. That being said their meats are good have good flavor.. nachos are very good and they give you plenty.. the chips are homemade and taste great. Good beans and rice.. I like both of their hot sauces the green and red are both good...plus it's always clean. All and all I really like the place .. but they need to be fair with the size and cheese. In my opinion something like skimpy tacos and burritos would cause ppl to go elsewhere and that would be a shame because they are good. I want this...
