Terrible wine tasting experience. Three tiny tastes for $30; thatโs $10 a taste which is absurd for the fact that the bottle costs $40. We have been wine tasting for over 15 years in this area and have never experienced a wine tasting this disappointing or stingy. I let our tasting associate know we didnโt care for 2 of the 3 tastes we had and asked if he had anything else open (which is not an uncommon or unreasonable request) and he said nope thatโs all that comes with the tasting. I spend thousands of dollars on wine every year and he profiled us clearly as either being cheap or not able to afford the wines. I gave him multiple opportunities to make things right and he did nothing, he was not interested even remotely in our satisfaction as customers. On top of all this we were one or two parties in the entire place, it was a Monday, dead. There was no excuse for this lackluster level of service. There are far too many good wineries to spend your time and money on (like Hall across the street, amazing wines and customer service) donโt waste your time here. I was actually interested in joining the wine club and buying wine and they lost a sale and a customer. I have actually been to this winery many times before over the last 10 years and I used to enjoy their wines but they have clearly lost their way...
ย ย ย Read moreI tried to send this to "Tok" which from what I gather is the "Open Table" for wine reviews but it would not allow me to so I am posting my dissatisfaction here.
The first thing that went wrong was I paid for an outside tasting experience and was not provided with that. I understand the weather was rainy that morning but by the afternoon tasting time it had cleared up. I asked if we could have it outside and was told no. The second thing that went wrong was that I informed the winery before hand there was a nut allergy however we were served nuts, I had to take them off the tasting tray and we were not offered a substitution. The third thing that went wrong was our original server came over and gave us an introduction and the "opening rehearsal" then said he was handing us off to another server who gave us the same practiced opening rehearsal. If you are going to do that at least vary it up a little bit. The last thing happened at the end. My husband went to the restroom and the server came back while he was gone and gave his last pour and and description of what he was pouring all while my husband was out. That was rude. I did make him repeat it since we paid so much for the experience. So no I was not happy and did not feel like I got...
