Crocker & Starr Wines — Attraction in St. Helena

What a beautiful property and an even more wonderful experience!! I had the pleasure of being hosted by Juan and had C&S booked as our first stop on our list of 7 vineyards and tasting rooms planned, this was our best visit. C&S provided us with a great selection and even a change of heart in my wine portfolio after tasting their products. Hearing the women lead history and seeing how the history continues to develop tastefully side by side with the property was heartwarming. You can truly see and taste how the production is driven towards top quality. My tasting experience was perfect, it was the perfect amount of entertainment from our host and also privacy to enjoy the wines with my partner, never had a moment where I felt rushed at all. Great wine but HORRIBLE customer service. Purchased 2 bottles of 1 Post and paid $39 for “summer solutions”. The wine arrived about 6pm with the ambient temperature of 105. Opened the box and to my surprise it was not shipped with ice or a cool pack. Tested the wine and it was over 92 degrees.

Called winery to gain an understanding exactly what a “summer solutions” shipping included. I was not given any solutions and they put it off on UPS saying it should been delivered in the morning. I inquired about a cool pack and was told we ship too much wine to do that. Huh.

We had an amazing time visiting here. This was my first time in Napa, but we visited several vineyards and this was by far the best experience. Nicole greeted us with a glass of delicious Sauvignon Blanc and bubble wands, which we had a blast with! We walked over to the vines and were able to learn more about the grapes and the story of Crocker and Starr, before we went to another building and got to see where the wines are made. On our way back to the tasting room, we got to meet Charlie Crocker, who was so kind!
