Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Naperville

Before you read this review, I want you to know that this is not satire. As far fetched as it seems, this is 100% true and I swear that there is no fabrication whatsoever.

-prologue- Me and a few gentlemen went here around 12:30 am on a Friday night. I didn’t order anything, but the three other men in my vehicle got matching Oreo milkshakes. I was in the rear seat, drivers side, giving me a partial view of the establishment while at the drive through window.

-Chapter 1- As we arrived to the establishment, we pulled a rather unique maneuver to view the menu. I’ll try to explain it so you can visualize it. The drive through menu is facing us, and we are facing it. The front bumper of our vehicle is pointing towards the menu from about ten feet back. You’d assume that a 5k ultra HD view of the menu would help us decide what to get, it did not. We pull up to the menu and order-speaker as normal after our initial viewing situation. The attendant was very quick to respond, so we asked for time in order to browse the menu. After about ten minutes of discussion, the three men decided to order the same thing (oreo milkshakes). We exclaimed “we are ready to order”. We were greeted with silence. After asking “y’all got ice cream” for what seemed like eons, our order was taken. I guess the minute she gave us was a lot more than we bargained for.

-Chapter 2- As we pull up to the drive through, we are greeted by a friendly woman. She tells us about her tattoo and the correlation it has to her daughter. It was a rather enjoyable conversation. As stated in the prologue, I was in a position where I could see some parts of the establishment. I see a different woman walk from the back to the preparation area. She was holding two gallons of milk. I assumed it was for the next few orders, which was much further from the truth. I look away for a few minutes. When I look back, I see a blender with what I can assume is 95% milk. To that blender, the woman that carried the milk puts one measly scoop of Oreo ice cream. That fearful ratio of a milkshake is for the men in our vehicle.

-Chapter 3- We get our milkshakes and go on our way. As stated before, I was the only one of four men to not get a milkshake. I suppose I’m leaving this review to ease my survivors guilt. One man says, “this just tastes like milk”. The other two concur. All three foolishly finish their milkshakes. They start to feel a negative emotion, contrary to the joy a milkshake is expected to bring. We made an assumption, the two gallons I saw were about to expire. They gave us two gallons of milk and one scoop of ice cream in order to clean out inventory. I’d say it left us bitter, but all we were tasting is milk.

-Epilogue- So I witnessed the brothers in my vehicle get served rather fowl milkshakes. That knocks my rating to one star. “Why is the rating five stars” I assume you’re asking. Well, the woman with the tattoo was very sweet. She honestly made us feel like we were part of the baskin robins family. So despite the fact my friends paid 10 American USD dollars for two gallons of expired milk, we left the campus with a smile...

Really good breakfast sandwiches. If you're vegetarian just get whatever bread you prefer and ask for egg and cheese. I get the croissant egg and cheese and it's always good and it's very well priced.

Often they forget a sandwich when I'm ordering for two. There's only one reason I took a star away. There is one very rude middle aged woman, always grumpy no matter how kind you are. Problem, or no problem, you are her burden. Well I didn't get any napkins and the sandwiches can get quite messy so I went into the store instead of going through the drive through and bothering them again and she ignored me completely! I said excuse me miss may I please have napkins? And she said "just hold on a moment" and stared at me in my eyes and leaned against their coffee machine. Haha

Anyway they have another young man who works there who is just wonderful, as well as the rest of the staff. But he stands out, same problem missing a sandwich and no napkins. I let them know and he comes out and delivers the sandwich himself and said I put an extra one in there for you. It was just me and my sister eating that day, we don't really need three sandwiches but it was really kind of him and she actually was still hungry after and ate the 2nd sandwich. Thanks man. I went there just now and the lady that’s always closing at night, she always seem to be too busy being on calls or FaceTime while taking orders. And there’s no proper greeting at the drive thru not even a hi, or pleases come up to the window, she would just say yes hello and pull up. When I was receiving my food she had her phone in her ear being on FaceTime with someone and didn’t give back the right amount of change and messed up our order. And the Oreo milkshake was water down and doesn’t have much of any Oreos in it. Taste straight up like milk with ice. And the donuts had finger prints on them. Not very good costumer services and food was not good. I know this because I used to work at a Dunkin and work...
