Me and my family have come here three times in the past two months. The first time was for my sisters birthday and we didn’t order much and arrived at a decent time. One lady told us we could order more naan later so we didn’t get too much at once without seeing the amount of food. When the food arrived the waitress had her thumbs in the food with the way she carried it by hand and not on a tray. When we asked for more naan they said we couldn’t and looked annoyed but did it anyway. And no one wore a mask even though the sign said to in the kitchen. No gloves and no safety precautions and the tables were stained with food and not cleaned properly. I didn’t mind ALL of that as the food was really really good considering everything. The next time we decided to order it to go so no one but the cooks would touch the food but they were half an hour late with no safety precautions still and they took down the mask sign. Still okay and didn’t want to complain, the food was still very good except they didn’t have one food and had to substitute it and wouldn’t give us anything unless the price matched even though it was their fault they didn’t have the food. Third time today we decided to order and that is the last time I will come here. They didn’t have food so I said they could substitute it but I didn’t want onions and that was an easy request. Just don’t add it. We arrive and the food is not ready. Then another waitress asks us and goes back and it’s not ready. Then another asks and goes back to tell us they just started and it will be out… it’s been over an hour at this point. They then ask us if we still want the food because they couldn’t remove the onions… they just forgot and didn’t want to make it again. We decide to take the TWO items we had anyway and just leave. It was terrible service and at one point in the half hour we actually stayed in the building we saw one waitress cough into food (I’m sure not on purpose) but I would not recommend this place if you are worried about your health and time. If you just want good food and a waste of time then this is the...

I have frequented this restaurant on more than four occasions, and unfortunately, a disheartening pattern has emerged that compels me to share my disappointment. Despite the remarkable food quality, stellar customer service, and impeccable cleanliness maintained by the hardworking staff, the consistent lack of involvement from the restaurant manager is an issue that cannot be overlooked.

During each of our visits, even during peak hours, the manager, his name is Antony, not sure he is wearing black shirt all the times, was consistently observed sitting idle, merely delegating tasks to the already industrious staff. This repeated negligence of hands-on management during busy times raises concerns about the commitment and dedication of the managerial team.

In a dining establishment, especially during bustling periods, one expects the manager to lead by example, actively participating in the operational tasks to ensure a seamlessly functioning team. It is disconcerting to witness the manager's nonchalant attitude while the rest of the team works diligently to maintain the restaurant's standards.

As a loyal customer who values the overall experience, I urge the management to address this issue promptly. The exceptional efforts of the hardworking staff deserve to be complemented by an equally engaged and proactive managerial presence. I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken seriously to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Despite this concern, I must emphasize that the restaurant's other aspects, including the food quality, customer service, and cleanliness, have consistently been praiseworthy. It is my genuine desire to see this establishment thrive, and addressing this managerial issue will undoubtedly contribute to...

Deecan Spice has been my primary restaurant of choice for Indian cuisine for the better part of a decade as I love how they are more of a traditional Indian restaurant that does not cater too much to the westerner. With that said, as the other commenters from my party have stated, their lack of transparency and dishonesty with their pricing and gratuity has unfortunately destroyed my perception of what was once was a reputable business.

First, the pricing on the menu was out of date and we were not notified of this. Meaning, the business could at any time charge an imaginary number that the customer would be responsible to pay. This is poor transparency and quite frankly an unethical business practice. If prices on the menu did not reflect the price we would be charged, each of us should have been made aware of this change in pricing.

Secondly, our group of 10 or so people paid as separate groups and each gave a 20% tip. What none of us were made aware of is that a 20% gratuity was charged on our collective tab. Meaning we each tipped 40%, making our meal almost 50% more expensive, in addition to the out of date pricing from the menu.

While the food and service met expectations, the pricing and dishonesty we received is something that may have permanently altered the relationship I have with the restaurant, in a negative light.

I hope the restaurant takes these reviews sincerely and alters to their approach to business. Business is not about getting ahead on somebody. When a business takes care of people, profits will follow. However, when you attempt to gouge customers, operate unethically, and lack respect for the individual, it will result in your once loyal clientele...

Through Doordash, I ordered a mild butter chicken for my cousin, and a spicy butter chicken with NO NUTS (because I know they make the butter chicken sauce with cashews blended in), samosas, and garlic naan for myself. The top of my butter chicken container had "no nuts" writing on top. When I had a few bites, I was suspicious my food still contained nuts due to tingling in my mouth which has always been a sign of my allergy being triggered. Two hours later, I ended up vomiting, I know it's not because of my allergy. 20 minutes later, I developed hives all over my body which confirmed my butter chicken had nuts. I had to take a Benadryl before going to bed to calm my reaction, I was itching for an hour straight. At 1AM, I woke up and I vomited again. Vomiting twice must have been from food poisoning since I have never had to vomit twice from eating food. It must have been from the samosas? My cousin only ate her butter chicken and felt fine. Overall, I am not happy with this restaurant and I will never be ordering from here again. I have ordered from another Indian restaurant and ordered a butter chicken with no nuts, I had no allergic reaction after eating their food.

I am writing this review with lot of disappointment. I ordered Egg kothu parotta from their menu for take out( See the picture what I got 😤🫣🤯😡) I was eager to eat but when I opened the box, it doesn’t seem like kothu parotta. It has only cut pieces of naan mixed in egg bhurji curry. That Naan quantity is also like just 1 naan(they are saying it’s usual to use naan for kothu parotta). Never order kothu parotta from this location. I even confirmed from the store owner/person who takes the order. They are sure it’s their way of making kothu parotta. I am paying for the authentic dish but here they make recipe based on the chef. I suggested them to change the name else everyone will get cheated & disappointed. I could have returned the dish to the kitchen if I dined in, but unfortunately it’s a take away order. Money wasted. I will never return to this location. So everyone be careful while ordering your food from this location and make sure they use the authentic recipe to fulfill you satisfaction.

The place was very good before COVID. I went there after like 2 years and now this place is a complete trash. The veg biryani(1+1) on Wednesday is total scam. I ordered veg and paneer biryani and I got was shrimp biryani. I travelled for half an hour and when I call all they say is "SORRY" we will replace if you travel back. I told about the travel time and the manager told he is gonna refund the money at end of day. I even asked him is it possible to him for refund and all of them were saying yes. But today morning I got a credit cart posted. I had a terrible experience and would not recommend anyone to get the food at Deccan Spice. The so called Biryani only had one piece of cauliflower, two pieces of potato(everything overcooked) and one piece of carrot and overcooked rice. Feels like stale. PS: It was generous of you telling sorry but "SORRY" does not make dead man alive and turns shrimp into paneer.
