If you’re looking for fast, processed instasushi this is not the place for you - this is the real deal. The food is exceptional, atmosphere is intimate and packed with stimulating family games, and above all that Danny the owner is always behind the counter sharing his joy and love for quality and community. The discreet manner of the location feels akin to an old speakeasy - a subtle door that leads to a hallway once ventured exposes the shop itself - I believe sushi this good SHOULD feel like a private affair - and at the forefront of this hidden little seafood fusion is integrity and love. Big ups to Danny and his team.

And pro tip - order early. I’ve found it’s best if you give a call if you are in a...

Hands down the best sushi in Narragansett—no competition. After a beach day, I stumbled upon Umi Sushi and was immediately welcomed by the owner, Umi, whose kindness and hospitality stood out from the start. He offered thoughtful recommendations, made accommodations, and even surprised me with a free house salad, samples of the lobster crab Rangoon, a discounted roll, and a free water—all just to be kind.

The sushi itself? Impeccable. Fresh, beautifully presented, and the best quality I’ve had—and I eat sushi regularly ( sometimes twice a week ). Umi clearly has a passion for both food and service. This spot is a hidden gem, and I can’t recommend it enough. Support this place—you won’t be...

I was craving sushi for lunch. I looked up on google map the closest spots. This place was the highest rating and it lived up to the expectation. I was excited to find a gem that energetically matched my vibe and delighted my palate. Fresh handmade sauces and crab rangoon. I had the miso soup, salad and poke bowl while trying authentic Japanese beverages. The food was so amazing I ordered rolls to go for dinner. The Owner is kind, authentic and a Chef with a fierce vision. Go out and get you some. Sorry, no pics. I ate...

I got the sweet potato roll and pork bao. The roll was incredible. Not many places add avocado to their sweet potato rolls, and it made for an exceptional creamy bite! The bao was alright—they were not made fresh, which is okay sometimes, but it was very obvious here. One had been sitting out too long and was dry and unpleasant, but the other was good. My wife ordered the Mariner poke bowl and she said it was delicious. The man helping us and making the bowls up front was great. We will be going back again to try more options.

I tried the Tiger delight roll today and I can genuinely only describe it as the best sushi I’ve had in my life! The owner, Danny, is a great host and a very talented chef. While I waited he also made me a fresh salad, his ginger dressing is so refreshing and unique, I absolutely loved it. I will definitely be coming back!!! We had some trouble finding it because they are still new so all of the signage isn’t up yet, but it’s inside the back building in Mariner plaza)
