I cannot understand all the 5 star reviews, unless they were all well lubricated by alcohol. It was only because of the good reviews we even bothered to try a local place. I ordered orange chicken. There was no warning on the menu that no vegetables come with the dish. When I asked where they were, waiter said kitchen is too busy (the place wasn't even half full!!!) And it would take over 20 minutes. "If you want I'll put in the order you can take out." Really???? I tasted the so called orange chicken - all I could taste was overused deep frying oil. No orange. The waiter must have known because he never came back to ask us how it was - even though the place was emptying out at 630 on a Sunday. I put the full untouched dish on the edge of table. No repsonse until I put my napkin on the table. (My dinner companion had also given up on his dish which was also not marked vegetable free) even though it had some flavor, it was only because it was loaded with sugar.) When the waiter finally came over all he askedbif we wanted a box. When we said no (bothvour dishes were full) he didn't even ask if anything was wrong just scooped up the dishes and dropped off the check without even a thank you. Neither dish was worth the price. Never coming here again. I'd give zero stars if lame o Google would...
Read moreFirst of all this is the only Chinese food place I have been to that has a dress code. Not putting them down but it is not warranted based on the quality of the food. So for this reason this review title is “lipstick on a pig”
This was a take out order not dine in.
We ordered 2 apps an entree and a rice dish. All were sub par and I will break it down by item ordered.
Peking ravioli fried- we got heavy and dense ravioli that were basic at best in terms of flavor. Not crispy at all because they steamed them by putting them on the container they did.
Szechuan dumplings- also heavy but also cold and not very good.
Tangerine chicken- flavorless and cold as well as had this off grey color to it. Chewy and tender at the same time. Definitely odd.
Vegetable fried rice- tasted old. No real veggies besides the carrot and peas and onions and sprouts u see in all fried rice. One would think veggie fried rice would have broccoli or something other than the base veggies you see in the pork, beef, or chicken fried rice on the menu.
Overall this place was below average and in terms of finer end Chinese places this is at the bottom of the list. Had high hopes because it gave off a Chen yeng li vibe but at the end of the day mall Chinese food is way better. Cost me $60 to figure out I’ll...
Read moreThis place is an absolute rip off and the manager/owner could care less. Look at what they are serving, calling chicken, and charging an exuberant price for. Do yourself a favor and go to Xiang wang. Great food there (across the street), a FRACTION OF THE PRICE, and the quality you would expect. You do NOT get what you pay for here! I even ordered a soda, was charged $3 for it, only to be presented with a warm CAN of soda, that turned out being flat..cool. The owner (manager never on site) refused to credit/discount for the “food”, then told me to drive all the way back to return if I want a refund (which I should have just done)- OR they would credit me next time (as if I’ll give them my money again-lol). Over $50 for a pu-pu platter for two, can of soda, and veg lo mein.. What a joke. Other place was 12 dollars cheaper for same order, way better food, and larger quantity! The crab Rangoon was gross, beef teriyaki tasted like pure garlic, spare ribs had no meat-all fat, chicken didn’t exist-it was just batter, and noodles were okay.
Don’t give your business to people who treat customers this way.
This place is raking in cash and could are less about the service, quality, and standard. I feel bad for the poor girl who has to work for these people. All they care about is money...
