Bag Lady's Fry Joint — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I ordered a DoorDash delivery! I live not even 3 minutes from the restaurant. So I get my food 🥘 I thought I ordered two orders so instead of calling DoorDash support I just assumed I would go in the store… okay fast forward I get to the store there’s a young lady at the register(very sweet and has great manners) I show her my receipt while explaining to her what I initially wanted. The cook sees me talking to the young lady and immediately takes over the conversation so I explained it to him as well. After listening to both the cook and the cashier (she was getting there😂) I then ask well can I purchase the item that I want. He (the cook) then laughs in my face and says “we ain’t even got no moe”. At this point I am irritated by the lack of care and laughter. With other patrons in the restaurant I grab my already purchased item said never mind but thank you(with a smile might I add) the cook then says to me “you don’t gotta have a attitude if we ain’t got it we ain’t got it”. My response to the cook was Kid I don’t have an attitude I simply said never mind and thank you! This was my experience at this restaurant and I drive past it everyday. We used to say man we gotta stop there and see what the food was hitting for. Unfortunately I know my one comment won’t make a huge impact but I hope a manager sees this and realize that the cook needs to be retrained/trained in customer service, hospitality should be a must! And no I’m not saying the customer is always rich but there is always a way to handle things. That was just unprofessional and as a manager that was very heart retching to witness. I even went back to my own establishment and had a talk with my own staff. I feel anyone spending money in place where I work that pays my bills deserves some sort of respect! Why because they could have went to anywhere but they chose to stop at your place. Just my opinion! Needless to say it left a bad taste in our mouth and we just threw the food in the trash and...

So I ordered Brisket Sweet Potato Fries thru Uber Eats, but got some guy named Anthony's door dash pick up order of Chicken tenders with a cup of Nashville Hot Sauce. Uber gave me a refund for the order so thankfully that was all handled. All that was left was the food.

I was apprehensive at first because "Nashville Hot" can range anywhere from barely hotter than black pepper to the lake of fire in the 7th circle of Dantes inferno. But seeing as mamma didn't raise no *, I tried it anyways and it was PHENOMENAL. The fries were a little cold by the time they got to me but that's expected in a delivery, but the chicken was still super crispy, juicy and delicious! And the Nashville Hot Sauce was a slow burn but never got to a level I couldn't take. It starts off subtle heat with a hint of sweetness at the end but as you eat gets hotter but never goes too far. And best of all, it didn't tear my stomach up the next day! Best order mix up ever!

I can't wait to order again and actually get to try the sweet potato brisket fries. I was nervous ordering from a new place but, even with the mix up that wasn't their fault, I was soooo happy with the food, definitely worth trying if you've never eaten here. I'm going to be ordering...

After seeing this place advertised on instagram, my wife and I were excited to come here. The atmosphere is great, and while we waited on our order, we were already planning our next visit’s orders. I got the burger, asked for a meal, but it was wrung up wrong so I wasn’t given it (but could pay for my fries as a side). I was wanting to try the fries initially, but once I saw them, I immediately declined. Online and their signage, the fries look a perfect golden color. In reality, they were all burnt and dark brown in color. I’ve had fresh fries at other places, so I don’t think that’s the reason. I think we, along with all of the customers around us, were served burnt fries. The chicken tenders weren’t any better. They were also overcooked and extremely dry. The burger was really good, though. Juicy and the right amount of flavor. I really did enjoy that. Maybe it was just an off day, but if you know something looks bad, why serve it?
