Horrible experience! When me and my crew came in I asked were there any tables or boots open we were taken to the bar. I asked the bartender was the empty booth behind us open we were told that it was $200 minimum to sit in the booth we were fine with that. When we got in the booth the waitress said it was $200 per hour for the booth I feel like since we were from out of town they tried to get extra money out of us. While sitting in the booth a roach crawled from behind the picture we notified the waitress and she act like she didn’t see it and got the manager they guy in the country green suede jacket and kangol hat he said everybody got roaches what you want me to do about it. The other manager lady with the natural hair was sweet and tried to diffuse the situation but after that the country outfit man and the waitresses and the natural hair lady was talking about us like we were nothing. We came to have a good time not to be treated like trash. I would never go back to that hole in the wall ass establishment. The only thing saved this place was the bartender with the long locs he was pleasant to deal with. The hookah was terrible the first puff it was nothing but smoke like it had been sitting in the back burning for a long time before it was brought to us. It took awhile for it to come out anyway so I’m pretty sure they had it sitting back there burning so we wouldn’t be able to smoke it long. It’s a sign at the door that say no attitudes but the staff is the one with the nasty attitudes I wouldn’t recommend any one from out of town to visit here maybe they treat their locals better.

My first time visiting Minerva with a friend celebrating her birthday. Seating was nice, waitress was very patient and on point. She remembered what each customer ordered and was spot on. If you are looking for good music, hookah, and solace chill. I recommend Minerva. The picture s attached is the birthday girl enjoy a night out on ladies night.

I really enjoy the atmosphere, the music, and the creative names they've assigned to all the drinks! Thr bartender are always friendly and smiling, and the vintage way they do entry, super cool! If you're looking for a place to chill, dance, and every now and then turn up 😁😁😁, then this is the place for you!

This review is going to be lengthy but the honest truth and based off of ME & MY GUEST experience (yours may or may not be different). I'm not trying to convince anyone to go or not to go that's solely up to you!! Ok let my start off with the PRO"S. The drinks were good & so was the DJ. There was one very friendly older guy who we were told was over reservations that was very helpful and friendly. Those are really the only pros we experienced today for Sunday brunch. Now let me get right to the CONS. Reservations are a waste!! They let walk-ins have first choice of seating and everybody is clueless when you arrive. They initially gave us a very small area for 8 people which was unacceptable and resulted in me having to speak with management because the waitress we had upon arrival seemed high & clueless which was annoying as hell. We were finally able to get a booth outside however we had no waitress in our new seating area for a good 30 mins . Now lets get to the for real problem!! When we finally did get a waitress in our new seating area she had the audacity to say to us that our time started when we sat down HUH which time? We've moved twice and it took 30 mins for her to even come take our order. Then she stated they needed a card to charge the first round of food/drinks and would split everything after that on an itemized receipt. EXCUSE ME!! Holding a card is understandable but to say your going to charge everyone's stuff to that card first round is Ludacris!! So I asked to speak to management again and she stated that's not true about charging everyone's things to one card and also stated that our time wouldn't start until we got our food because of all the ciaos we experienced!! It took 2 hours to get some of our food which was cold,. It took another 30 mins for the other two guest to get theirs. CRAZY. Like how can you charge someone by the hr to sit when it takes hours to even get their order.. A hot mess!! I really hate giving bad a review on black owned companies but if you want ppl to speak differently about your establishment BEHAVE DIFFERNTLY!! Willie B's WOULD NEVA!! I will most differently not be back!! Oh and the bald headed heavy set security guy was rude as hell and made it his business to sit by us all because we had to request management twice smh WILD!! Also this waitress we had who kept saying she was the lead became argumentative & got snappy with us a few times all because we were questioning her about our service/food which we're entitled to do as a customer. We were very respectful yet frustrated because of the terrible and slow service when truthfully it really wasn't even that busy. They kept saying Sunday is our busy day and its about to get packed which was irrelevant to us because we are spending money just like those ppl and had reservations!! We felt uncomfortable & couldn't really enjoy ourselves!!...

I will NEVER return to Minerva in Nashville, TN. This past Saturday night my friends and I were enjoying our ladies night. Minerva was the second establishment that we visited so we arrived around 9:30pm. We took our seats at the back bar and immediately started ordering drinks. It was four us so there was a decent dollar amount being spent. Shortly after we got our first round of drinks we ordered a hookah which was served to us at the bar. We were enjoying our drinks, smoking our hookah, and dancing to the music. It was a good time. About 45 mins into us being there the DJ played a song that prompted all of us to get up and dance. We were still in front of the bar, in front of our seats, and were still smoking our hookah. That’s when one of security guards came up and removed our seats from behind us. He took our chairs and when I asked him why he was taking our seats he simply replied “ask management”. He provided no explanation. After we became visibly upset, the bar tender explained to us that after 10 o’ clock they remove the seats from the bar to encourage people to come buy drinks. My response to her was “us sitting here was not keeping people from purchasing their drinks”. Shortly after that exchange I asked her to cash out my tab. I was livid and ready to go! You know, being a Black Owned establishment I guess I just expected more. The thought that management wasn’t even considerate enough to take into account that we had just purchased a hookah and were actively ordering drinks before they instructed the removal of our seats from the bar is just infuriating. It’s incidents like this one that perpetuate the narrative that Black Owned establishments are unprofessional and are not worth the visit! I pride myself on supporting Black Owned businesses, but this is one that I will NOT be returning to. And I thought that everyone should be made aware of...
