Today, August 24th, 2024, I decided to go inside Captain D’s to place my order. Why is the door locked??? Ok fine. I went through the drive thru and realized it was backed up around the building. I waited patiently as I understand Captain D’s is cooked to order. Upon ordering, the voice through the speaker stated it will be 30 to 40 minutes on food. I said ok. She asked what can I get for you. (I assumed she was going to be pleasant after her greeting)I proceed to place my order. I asked for grilled whiting plate, catfish plate and grilled salmon plate. She stated that they aren’t cooking grilled food today……what does that mean? Is the grill not working? Does the cook not grill on Saturdays???!!! I didn’t ask any questions, I just said fine and ordered fried catfish plates with fries, okra, on 2 orders and rice and broccoli on the third. I pulled around to this nasty attitude having female, who not only didn’t say hello, but acted like she didn’t want to be there, could care less that me or anybody else was in the line. She took my card and looked beyond angry. I was still very nice and respectful to her because you never know, bad day maybe? Regardless, you are in customer service. What you put out, you will receive back. Arriving at my family’s home, I noticed that I didn’t even get my rice. There was one hush puppy per plate. The fries were hard and the fish could pass for adult shrimp. Once again, why was the door locked for dining, why were you such a nasty person who can’t say thank you or hello, why was my order incorrect and looked like a kids meal! This is the closest one to me but I absolutely hate...
Read moreThis Captain D's location need to be shut down IMMEDIATELY, I went in on 4/25/25, I went on the inside to place my order due to the drive thru being backed up, I walk in and there was one young lady working the front counter and the drive thru, there were two people that I could see cooking/preparing the food, I stood there for at least 10 minutes before my order was taken, the floors were nasty, they needed to be swept and mopped, the ceiling/walls were nasty, there was an imperfection on the brick flooring by the bench at the front counter where it appears to be broken/cracked, I was in there a total of thirty plus mintues when I got my food, I get home and I only ate half a piece of the fish due to the quality was very subpar however I did eat the corn on the cob and the coleslaw, the hush puppies were not good at all, I don't know what's going on with Captain D's but the food lately has been garbage, I absolutely will not be going to this Captain D's or no other one due to the service/quality of the food, the young lady that was working the counter looked at me as if I was annoying her, it was the look she gave, I usually cook and eat at home but this particular day I was extremely tired after getting off work and just did not feel like going home to cook, unfortunately I donated $12.05 that day which was my order total for a 4PC fish meal, I would advise anyone reading this, DO NOT GO...
Read moreWe ordered over $150 worth of food from this establishment and only received about half the order. We ordered two seafood feasts and a chicken family pack. The order should've came with a total of 24 pieces of fish, 24 butterfly shrimp, six stuffed crab, 14 pieces of chicken strips, a total of six side dishes, and 32 hushpuppies. This was for our office lunch with clients. We received the fish, the hushpuppies, three total sides, 12 total shrimp, all the chicken, and no crab whatsoever. We are disappointed beyond measure as this was going to become a regular weekly order. I can't justify spending that amount for so little food.
The food we did receive was delicious, but it was not enough. I do not recommend.
As you can see below this post, the corporate office responded. The person who reached out dismissed our claim because I couldn't provide a receipt. It was ordered on a company credit card. I gave the person who reached out the credit card information. They said without a receipt they could not do anything. We live in a digital world. It's not everyday somebody orders $120 worth of food for lunch from this establishment. If they can't find it electronically, what are they even doing? This whole thing has proven I will not be back. They obviously don't want a reoccurring business that would pay them $120 a week to feed clients....
