I love Moe’s.
When I lived in Knoxville, it was a favorite fast food and I even had the store there cater an event on multiple occasions.
Now living in Idaho, I was eager to visit a Moe’s while on vacation in Nashville and to introduce my wife to one of my favorites… it didn’t go well.
There was no “Welcome to Moe’s” when we walked in… ok, maybe that policy has changed…
I asked the first of the three employees we would speak with how he was doing… his response was little more than a grunt…
My wife ordered the Edgy Veggie, then decided she would like some chicken on it after all… he said that would make it a dish other than the Edgy Veggie… “No problem,” we said, “charge us what you need to.” No response… the next person to help us was new, as he grabbed a card detailing the construction of the dish… we told him “no cheese, please” twice and he promptly put a handful of cheese on the dish. “No worries,” again, we said… there was no offer of putting any other toppings on our dishes.
When we went to check out, our final person rang us up and we told him that we had added chicken to the one dish… he got flustered and said, “whatever, man. Twenty bucks.” The total on the register at the time was fifteen-some odd dollars…
Probably a lack of communication compounded by some new folks, but in the end, it was a less than fabulous experience.
I’ll give Moe’s another go in the future, I’m not sure my...
Read moreStopped here a couple days ago and ordered an adobo chicken bowl add queso. It was around 7:45 when I walked in and as soon as I looked up I could see the workers just looking at me with irritation while they were all cleaning. I was the only customer in the store but It was several minutes before anyone addressed me or got me started on my order. A lot of the food looked like it had been sitting there a while and was clumpy/gelatinous. The second worker who helped me had her AirPods in and was constantly saying “huh” or “what” when I was stating the things I wanted in my bowl as if she couldn’t hear me but was somehow able to hear her coworker and continue their conversation even the the other worker was 20+ feet away. Got to the cashier and whatever he rung up was $18 and some change which was incorrect for what I ordered, I explained that to him and he too had AirPods in so that took a minute to get my total correct. He then proceeded to just slide my bowl towards my side of the counter. Did not offer me a bag, no chips, nothing. But he did say “Have a nice night “ and was courteous for the most part. I’ve visited this location maybe 3-4 times in the last month but that was probably my last, each visit was not the most desirable when it came to food quality and customer service but this establishment is clean...
Read moreHaving Moes Belle Meade cater our daughters pre wedding multi family barbecue recently was a tremendous success. Chuck, the delivery and set up man, was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable about where to set things up for maximum ease of use. He was exactly on time and was out before our guests arrived at 11:30 am. I have used other caterers, but have to say the fajita and taco bar with all the fixins definitely satisfied everyone’s tastes, no matter their age! Moes was extremely generous with the portions, so my order for 100 people was more than enough to serve everyone with leftovers for dinner that night. Last, but not least, kudos to Derek, the Catering Manager, who held the mother of the bride to be’s hand ( that would be me ha) throughout the entire process. He was so well mannered and professional... I can’t say enough about what a relief that was for me. Moes Catering for our big event was a pleasure.. and we will definitely...
