The owner charged my friend and me a door fee for the live band, and then at the bottom of the receipt, we were charged an additional 18% for the live band again. This resulted in an overcharge of $19.98 on one receipt and another $12.96 on the second receipt. Altogether, we were charged an extra $32.94, and there was no mention of the 18% live band fee on the menu or anywhere else. Went to the grand opening of this restaurant and ordered the chicken adobo, bitter melon, lechón, and sinigang. The food here is SO delicious, and in my opinion, 10x better than Titas Restaurant which many people know about because of Andrew Zimmern visited the place, but that restaurant has changed a lot in quality and health!! I feel like Lola’s Happy Bistro does a better job with ingredients and quality. The chicken adobo and sinigang wasn’t too greasy, and the lechón was super juicy and crispy.
