Absolutely disgusted with the service, or should I say lack of that we experienced here. As locals to Navasota, we decided to keep our business within city limits for Valentine's Day. Big mistake coming here. We called to make a reservation, which our name and number was taken down and the reservation was confirmed. We show up for our reservation time, and don’t even get addressed when coming into the door. We go up to the bar and let the bartender know that we had a reservation for 6:30 and I can see that there’s no table set aside for us. She then goes on to tell us (rudely) that she doesn’t know who I talked to but that they weren’t taking reservations for today but to go stand to the side and they could get us a table together. Okay, we step to the side and my dad stays at the bar to get a drink, gets ignored. A different party comes in behind us a few minutes later and tells her they have a reservation as well. She tells them that if they have a reservation, it’s for the dance hall and that they can go ahead and head back there for dining. Why were we not given that option? We stayed standing by waiting for a table to be made for us and after several tables getting up and leaving, the server never even attempted to get a table together for us and we just kept getting ignored. My dad is still up at the bar waiting to get a drink and is yelled at by the same bartender, that she’s not going to serve him and if he needs a table he needs to wait OUTSIDE?? The amount of disrespect we received without even being staying to eat is crazy. I don’t feel like being understaffed and busy is an excuse to let the customer service and class fly out the...
Read moreThis place was awesome! We got there at 1:30-2pm and it wasn't too busy at all. You seat yourself, and then someone will come out and bring you a menu and take your drink order. They came out maybe 5 minutes after we got there so we didn't feel rushed but we also didn't feel like we needed to find someone to help us! We ordered fried pickles and mozzarella sticks to start, they were AMAZING. We get friend pickles everywhere we go but I honestly think this place was the best we've ever had. The batter they use was thin and crispy, not too salty and a HUGE serving. The Mozzarella sticks were good too! But the pickles were the show stopper. I got the chicken strips and my sister got the burger. Strips were perfectly cooked and the batter was perfectly crunchy. My sister said the burger was amazing. And the fries! 🤤 So good. The atmosphere of this place was super warm, inviting, and friendly. You could tell it's a place where locals go often. There was a good amount of parking but I imagine come 7pm when the dance hall starts it gets a bit more tight. They have handicap parking and very wide doors to fit wheelchairs if needed. The dining area is laid out so if you're in a wheelchair you can easily find a...
Read moreExpensive for nothing particularly good. I mean it wasn't bad but it wasn't exactly good either. $60 filet mignon was tender but bland. Mashed potatoes tasted like a mix of instant and real potatoes. Grocery store roll with no butter. Ordered desserts and they were was just standard SYSCO type desserts that were overpriced. Caesar salad was good. The lettuce was fresh and the dressing was good.
Service was friendly but kinda meh. I don't normally add salt but I had to go in search of some for just about everything. Server didn't write anything down and had to be asked for some stuff a couple of times, but was okay-ish.
Appetizer, salads, and entrees came out so quickly that none could be finished before the next was served. Less than 5 minutes after the appetizer arrived the salads came. Five minutes later, the steaks. Place was pretty empty on a Saturday night 🤷♂️
$130 for two people for mediocre food is a bit too much for a place with so-so service and no real atmosphere. I really wanted to like it, but I couldn't. I didn't hate it, but I won't...
