I have stayed at this hotel 2 times now. Staff is nice and always ready to assist if you need anything. But if you need iron, ironing board, they are not kept in the room, so ask at the desk and they will give to you. The bathrooms are a bit small, with no separate place to dress, and squeezing into your clothes while still a little damp is hard, lol. If alone, you can definitely come out and dress, but if you’re like me and shy in front of your partner, you can ask them to leave the room while you dress. The doors, when closed, still show the outside though the cracks, so the doors need to be weatherproofed. At least both of the rooms we have been in. The wind and car sounds come right through the walls. But if your like us and need to be close to this location, it’s a perfect place to stay. Clean, and lot of upgrades throughout. Someone spent a lot of money to get it up to standard and acceptable levels. I am not moving in, so do t need it to be perfect. And this was better than even half the rooms I have found. Yesterday morning when to get coffee and the sugar was out, asked the man who was in the office if they had more, and this poor man got up and limped over and I offered him assist to walk back, and he advised he had fallen and hurt his knee. Very sweet and I felt horrible. Had he told me he was injured, I would have searched the cabinets myself :(. Sorry to you, sir. And thank you for providing a safe harbor for my...
Read moreI'm giving 4 stars only because the price was more than fair. Place was very clean and breakfast wasn't bad. Cereal, bananas, biscuits, packaged pastries/muffins, make your own waffle, juice/coffee, and breakfast meats (we were there for Saturday morning service). Now for the negative. The shower was horrible. I honestly think it had more to do with the low flow (1.75gpm) shower head than the pressure. There is no way to take a "quick" shower if you actually want to rinse the soap off. At least the water was hot. The bed also left something to be desired. Appeared to be a cheap older style innerspring mattress. It wasn't broken down, so it was probably a fairly new mattress, but didn't provide the support that I am accustomed to. The sheets were a bit stiff/rough, but at least appeared to be clean. There was a fair amount of highway / frontage road noise, but with the fan on it was barely if at all noticeable. Lastly, sound keys on the tv remote did not work. At least not until I figured out how to "set-up" the remote. Which we had to do everytime the tv was turned off and then back on. Despite all of this, I would stay here again for a quick overnight stay. Reasonably priced and clean go a long...
Read moreThis is not my first visit, and even though that one was really bad, this visit was the complete opposite. Customer service was very kind and quick with paperwork, very informative too. Our room 114 and was clean, with fresh sheets and a mopped floor. The bathroom area could use a touch of paint on the baseboards and trim around the doors. Even a good wipe down on them would make them look better. I'd say the only thing I needed and didn't know they didn't provide was a hair dryer. So ladies, bring them if you use them because you won't find one to use here. Our fridge didn't get as cold as I'd like, but it did the job. The TV was crystal clear, and the volume sure did work, that's for sure. We were able to warm up our leftovers in the nice microwave provided. Also, we were able to walk a very short distance to retrieve for ourselves some ice for sodas we bought at Annie convenient store down the street. Which had great, affordable Gorditas! Their BBQ is really good, too. It sucks that you have to go down the feeder in the opposite direction to do a u-turn to go there, though. As well as going to any other stores right there. There are lots of fast food options, too. Walmart is small,...
