I am working in port Arthur for the next few weeks and googled restaurants in the area. I saw GW Gyro & Wings in the results and decided to check them out.
When I pulled up and saw that it was a gas station, I thought about leaving and finding another place. Since I was already there and I needed to get to work, I decided to go ahead and place an order. Since it was inside a gas station, I did not expect much.
The staff was super friendly, not just the guys working in the kitchen, but the guy within my the register as well. When I go to fast food restaurants, 9 out of 10 times they do not give you ketchup, napkins, etc. Here, everything was on the bag without me having to ask for it.
As far as the food, I was pleasantly surprised (I'm glad I did not leave). The Philly was actually very good. The day I went, the the cheesesteaks were half off, so I got a Philly, drink and fries for under 8 bucks.
I will definitely be going back to try out the gyro...
