Arrived around 2:30ish on a Saturday, so between lunch and dinner rushes. There were several occupied tables, but nothing crazy. We were pointed to a table but weren't given any menus, nor did the waitress even look at us as ahe passed by several times, so I grabbed menus for us. A group came in after us and was promptly visited by a waitress, given menus and drink orders taken. One waitress finally noticed we hadn't been helped. She didn't apologize, just said oh she didn't help you. What can I get you. We ordered and was told there would be a wait on the crawfish, not a big deal. Then told my husband's pasta noodles would take time would he be ok with spaghetti Noodles. We said ok, not a problem. The drinks and appetizer were promptly brought to the table. Then we watched as our food sat in the window as our waitress walked past, the other waitress walked past. The kitchen staff rang the bell again. I almost got up and got it myself. Finally, one of the girls working the bar came and got it. We had no silverware and had to ask for it. My husband's shrimp and sausage pasta had no sausage and when my husband flagged down one of the waitresses she first said no, it doesn't come with sausage. He said the menu says shrimp and sausage, she throws up a hand like fine whatever and says, "Let me check". The other waitress comes out and says there is no sausage, oh that's the prep person's fault it should have been put in when they prepped it. Didn't offer to fix it or anything she just walked away. Let me just tell you that this place is a gem. I hesitate to even put a review up because I don’t want a flood of people at my new spot! 🤣 I have never experienced a restaurant where they treat you like family even before you show up! I have been searching for the best BBQ crab in the area and I have tried several in the Beaumont Port Arthur area and none have risen to the same level I have found in Louisiana. I heard of this restaurant and I decided to call in an order to go. I was met by the most pleasant voice when I called in the order and she was so nice and just a joy to speak with. Then I arrived at the restaurant which is quaint and just real comfortable feeling and Ms. Linda was the first to greet me and ask if I was here for my crab order. Wait what how did you know? I sat down at the bar because she stated that she wanted me to have them fresh so she delayed having them cook them and it would be just a few minutes more. When they came out they looked so appetizing that I decided to stay and eat them while they were hot. These are the most seasoned, lump and hearty BBQ crab I have ever eaten. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of most of the food. I'm not a seafood fan so it was nice to find a place that can rock non-seafood meals. I tried to order the brisket burger and was disappointed to learn that they were out of brisket. It was a blessing in disguise since I reluctantly ordered the prime rib sandwich instead and was blown away by the flavor of the super tender steak that was piled up in the sandwich. 5 stars for the prime rib sandwich!! My wife had the shrimp and said it was probably the best shrimp she'd had in any restaurant. She said it was comparable to what she makes at home. That is high praise indeed. I tasted the corn that came with her shrimp and can say it was top notch. My nephew ordered a burger and said it was amazing. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken strips and it was seasoned very well. I withhold one star because the natural cut french fries were soggy and flavorless and the seafood egg rolls tasted only of bread and cheese. Give this place a try.
