Ohl Style Beef Jerky — Restaurant in Needville

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I am a huge believer of supporting local businesses but this is by far the absolute worst BBQ and service I have received. We went inside and placed our two plates but please tell me how 5 other people came after us and placed their orders and were immediately helped and back on there way. We kept waiting and looking at each other like there is no way this is happening…. Yep. It happened. So finally we go out to our vehicle to eat because there is no seating inside and open our plates to what had to be the worst smell ever… Against our better judgment we were starving at this point and tried to eat but the only thing good was the pickles and the soda purchased out of there fridge. Not sure how this bbq place is open but I pray for whoever eats here… GOD BLESS AND DO BETTER FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS AND...

This was a while back when I was pregnant but I was craving a good bbq sandwich and my bf took me here and we ordered. Not surprised about the customer service that was given to us because it’s Needville. The guy in the back staring down my bf instead of doing his job. And my bf being the only black guy in the room and there was a few white guys in there waiting, makes me believe he was racist. Also the food wasn’t even good I couldn’t eat it. We decided to drive to Wharton to a way better spot and got the best customer service there. We shouldn’t have paid we should’ve just left as soon as he started giving my bf dirty looks. Best beef jerky I've ever had, by far. There are others that are good, but they don't bring about the emotional response that the flavors of Ohl's does. I compare it to getting a steak at an IHOP or Denny's, then going to a top-10 in the US (killens) steakhouse. It is on the expensive side, however I believe it is worth it and justifiable with the quality of ingredients that are used and the many hours of care/smoking it takes to make jerky this delicious. I recommend Ohl Style jerky to anyone who likes jerky and wants some top of the line jerky. Please be warned, that it will likely ruin most other jerkys for you once you experience how jerky...
