I love Tom's but this evening when I went in to get fish at the Commercial st. store I had a pretty bad experience and will not be returning to that particular Toms in the future. I was forgotten at the drive-in after the person on the com told me hold on a second when I got to the menu. After about 5 minutes I start honking and yelling to no avail. Then another car parks behind me and we both sit there honking for another few minutes before I decide to go up to window to see whats going on. No surprise there's four kids socializing in the front of the store oblivious to the customers waiting at the drive in. A girl spots me at the window, opens up and goes "oh, did no one take your order?" I respond " No, I've been sitting here for 10 minutes since you told me to hold on a second at the com" She responds that shes sorry and takes my money and my order. While I'm waiting for my food I'm cant stop thinking that this is a little more than a "Im sorry" moment. There's no one in the store and you guys forget the one customer you do have in drive-in? So once I get my food I tell the girl I'm coming in to talk to a manager. I pull up to the front, only to see through the glass the same girl that took my order, a guy with long blonde hair, and who I soon learn is the manager (w/ blue hair) are all laughing at the register. All I wanted to do was let them know this isn't the first time I've had bad service at this particular Toms, but after seeing them making light of their screw up, I decided no matter what I said to them would make them take their jobs seriously. I go in and tell the manager she lost a customer that's been coming to this particular Toms his whole...
Read more"Would you like a side of attitude with that order?" Weekly I stop at Tom's drive thru window in Neenah. The food is acceptable. The prices are higher than other fast food restaurants, but the location is convenient. Today they were unable to take gift cards, but did not disclose this at the drive thru when I placed my order. When I got to the window, after I handed my gift card to the cashier, as I was waiting I "sailed' the paper-covered straw back into the window-No harm intended. No one was injured.(I do not use straws) Then I was told that they could not accept gift cards, my comment was why didn't they post it on the drive thru(or at least announced it when they took your order.)? Just a shrug of the shoulder. Than manager-Godzilla comes to the window to ask me "what the trouble is" and blah. blah. blah. I don't need attitude with my lunch. I set the soda back on the shelf on the window and left. Her parting words were, "don't throw things at us." I didn't throw anything at them, but perhaps I "threw" a bit of advice on how to run the restaurant: If you can't accept payment types, disclose either verbally or through signage. Yes, I could have paid in cash, but I don't want a negative experience...
Read moreMade a mobile order today for noon as we’re limited on time for lunch to get food and get back to work. The place was extremely busy which is fine I get that. But the excuse made of “we got really busy” doesn’t really fly here.. what’s the point of ordering ahead of time to sit and wait almost 15 minutes for the food that should’ve been done already at the scheduled pickup time.. that defeats the purpose of ORDERING ONLINE and scheduling a pickup time. Online orders that are paid for ahead of time should be made priority. Otherwise what’s the point of ordering ahead of time?! There isn’t. We had just enough time to punch in at work.. to only find out my fries were missing from the order. I’m giving a 2 star here because the food is great but the experience really...
