But if you want a real, no-frills, honest-to-goodness bar, you've found your spot. The magic of this place is in its authenticity. Nice small bar atmosphere, and being a transplanted Cubs fan, the idea of a Cub's themed sports bar within a mile of my home is very appealing. However, I neither go to nor recommend this establishment, despite the above and the fact that they have top notch bar food at a great price.

For me, it all comes down to service, and Buck's just does not provide it. Unfortunately, it seems that unless you are one of the regulars that comes in, getting anything resembling speedy service is all but impossible. On the 3-4 times I have been to Buck's the bartender sat at the end of the bar talking to regulars and would not at all be attentive to the needs of the other guests at the bar. I play max credits ($0.25) and I think I tip somewhat generously ($5 for the first beer and a single for each after that) but I just cannot get service at this bar and doubt you will be...

I've been coming to bucks for years and it's true what they say...." You're only a stranger once" I have met and formed such great relationships here that I wouldn't trade or anything. Bucks has adopted me into their family and I always feel welcome. Whether its singing karaoke or enjoying whatever festivities they plan like xmas, new Year's, game night, or even a birthday. I have always felt like this place is the place to be. The staff goes above and beyond and treat you like you're one of their own. I have shared so many memories of my time with my friends about this place and introduced them to the Bucks Family and guess what?.... they always have a great time!
