Went to this place to check out some NBA games because it's the "Sporting Life Bar." Unfortunately, these folks couldn't seem to find the games even after I gave them the channels to check. Most of the televisions either weren't on or were showing other random shows like Bill O'Reilly. In addition to that there were a couple dogs in the bar with their owners. You read right. That wasn't spell check. There were dogs. One was sitting on top of a table and the other was just roaming around with its owner, who I believe was the owner of the bar. In middle of my buddy telling the server our order she cut him off, ignored him, and reached down to pet the dog for a minute. The animal's attention was obviously more important at the time. He didn't order after the rudeness he experienced.
I've been to this bar a couple times because I believe in second chances but my friends and I have experienced horrendous service every time we've come here. We will not be returning. And I rarely rate something unless it's exceptionally good or very bad. This was obviously at the bad end of...
Read moreIt seemed like your average weekday night with friendly staff & local regulars. Instead of your typical pool tables they feature 4 well-equipped dart areas & a cupboard full of board games. They have a projection TV which was not in use on my visit but is used during sports & on trivia night (Tues). Their juke box is powered by AMI which had a unique queue of 80s-90's hip-hop and R&B. Seating ranged everywhere from a backless stool to half moon booths with high sides. Sadly no matter where you sat, the bar was a bit on the bright side.
I've tried a variety of food options and so far not a dish to complain about. The potato skins, breakfast burrito & Loco Moco are my favorites so far. I'd love to say more about the food but am still sampling them and with them offering so many different items... well I might as well start a blog...
Read moreI honestly don't know how I live so close to this place and yet only been here now! It's amazing! Food is good, staff are friendly ( Thank you for being so accomodating, Amber), THEY HAVE SO MUCH BOARD GAMES (which we played with while drinking), maintains social distancing, restrooms are very clean (!!! Super important), and it's not even that expensive! Very good location and spacious. It also didn't smell so smokey inside. Also, try the Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen! I asked the waitress to give me a good beer that wasn't sweet but also wasn't too bitter, she recommended this and wow was that good. Other bars don't have it - I tried asking for it when I went to other places.
Neal is great, and so is Scooter. Neal has always been attentive. Scooter is such a fun host for...
