Dock Seafood New Albany — Restaurant in New Albany

Dock Seafood has made ridiculous and horrible changes! As of today Dock’s have now lost 2 loyal customers. I asked for extra tartar sauce and 2 hot sauces when I gave my order. Then the lady putting food in bags only gave me 3 sauces, for a 3 piece dinner! When I received my meal I asked if extra was put in the stapled bags? Rudely the lady said we have to charge you for extra. Which is bad business because we ordered a 3 piece dinner, a large onion ring, and fried mushrooms. And they can’t give me 4 more sauces?! I said ok, and ended up paying $2.34 for 5 additional tartar sauce and 2 hot sauces!!! Plus when I got home and opened the bags I was really angry because they no longer have the big onion rings! I was given what used to be a small order and they were heavily breaded onion rings. Yuck! Nothing like before. And the fried mushrooms, which I paid OVER $5, we received a tiny container where there were only 8 mushrooms!!! The divorce of the owners did not only hurt them! It now hurt their business! WHOEVER GOT THIS BUSINESS IS RUINING DOCK’S...

This place, I pay $70 for 3 of us to get fish dinners. Then when we try to wash our hands before we eat I'm told the bathroom is broke. Then I tip them $8 for simply standing at the counter and taking my order! So now that I'm $78 in i figure they might give me a cup of water so I can rinse my hands off, we'll I figured wrong. I was told I could PURCHASE a bottle of water!! And while the food is good, the restaurant itself isn't anywhere near clean. There are fruit flies all around the drink dispenser, the floor is sticky so you hear that squelch sound with every step. Had to wipe my own table off, with dry napkins of course. Pushed the door open with my shoulder cause I didn't wanna touch the handle with my hands! I will NEVER patronize them again. They showed ZERO customer appreciation, was less than concerned with the fact there was no way to wash hands before we ate, or to even use the restroom if we needed. I've had far superior service at Mc Donald's. And they don't expect a tip for simply standing at the counter and...

Dock's food truck was in Brandenburg today so we stopped in. Everyone we spoke to ranted about how good their food was and they were doing a steady business. Besides, a food truck in Brandenburg is a rare thing and not to pass up.

We ordered shrimp, a fish sandwich, deep-fried mushrooms, deep-fried cauliflower, fried pickles and chicken. Unfortunately, they had sold out of cole slaw. I love a good slaw, especially with seafood.

The food came quickly and was tasty. The fried pickles were the bast any of us had tried. The best thing, though, was the fish sandwich. It was two gigantic pieces of what appeared to be cod, perfectly cooked, golden and delicious. The shrimp was tasty as were the veggies. The batter they use is flavourful but doesn't overwhelm the food.

We will definitely be coming back next Wednesday. If you're listening, Dock, we are new fans. Keep up the good work.
